Just spent a lovely 3 days here in Ha Long Bay. The hotel is quite modern and well kept, and the service very friendly. The hotel has fantastic views over the bay, and of the sunwheel and cable car. Breakfast was very nice - a large selection of European and Vietnamese options. The lunch menu is varied and quick- and reasonably priced. The pools are not heated so very cold in February! In the summer I imagine they would be excellent as the views are so nice. Bed was large and comfy and the bathroom was a high standard.

However, the price of the food and drink services (e.g. the breakfast buffet) was much higher than any of the nearby places. Great option as a location - Superb Views
The hotel was chosen as a base to see Halong Bay over a 3 day visit. Its location is excellent. With a sea view you could see all local landmarks and the islands in the bay. The hotel arranged a day tour of the bay and transfers back to hanoi. Dinner and Breakfast options were good although in the off season it is very quiet. My only small negative is it is slightly dated and does need some modernisation but this did not detract from a lovely stay.

Great view of the famous colorful Bridge and sun wheel. Looked so beautiful at night. The suite was spacious and had all the facilities. Room service was fast and exceptional. Purchased superior king size bedroom and it was nothing but SUPERIOR. The room had very bad odor and we kept spraying air freshener every day. The noisy was coming from different tour groups coming and going every day. No VIEW, room was facing a second tower of Wyndham hotel.

I have booked 2 type rooms. Executive and Superior. Executive room : has very good view, the room is fabulous, but much more expensive. Superior: they gave me one with very bad smell at the beginning (smells like a place no body stay very long time). I went to reception request to change. They gave me another one with Seaview and smell much better. Food is okay, location is not so good as you gonna need to walk or taxi to anywhere. There is nothing around you can wander. One thing I want to mention that me and my friend both started to coughing after check in. We came to hotel directly without any stop and start to coughing half hour after check in. I thought it’s because of the environment of hotel. However my friend think it’s might be the air of this bay. Not sure about it .
