Spacious suites in Riad Said.
I stayed initially in suite Fadulla on the top of the towers but found the stairs too much. The room has its only private terrace with amazing views over the Old Medina Fez & beyond. It’s a perfect size for a solo traveller & the bathroom is part of the room rather than separate door. I moved to Suite Sofien and would recommend paying the extra for a larger room even as a solo. There were lots of options for outside sitting where you could have your breakfast. Warm fire at night and incredibly helpful staff.

Very Nice
Riad Said was very nice. The room was nice and had an amazing private terrace with a great view. The location in the medina is very good, a short walk to everything. The staff was very attentive and acommodating. I had a wonderful time.

We enjoyed being close to the Blue Gate (a 5-10 minute walk away). Our suite on the top floor had a lovely private terrace and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a tiny room with a shower curtain on a wire for a door and a terrible sewer smell coming from the sink that filled the room. We had to sleep with the windows open for some fresh air. There is no elevator and 50 stairs to climb to our room which we didn’t mind but any with mobility issues would not be able to manage it. Getting up and down with luggage is also a challenge. We thought the private space & view over the Medina was worth it. Breakfast was very good and served on the lower terrace. Staff were kind and pleasant.
Beautifully restored riad within old Fes. We really enjoyed the rooftop terrace breakfast and dinner. Mohamed was s very gracious host

Poor customer service and communication by owner
I splurged and wanted a special few days to rest and really enjoy Fes and a (4 star) Riad. We stayed in two small Riads in Marrachesh and loved them. Our experience in this Riad was so disappointing and was not the nature of this lovely country. Poor customer service and communication from the owner who lives in Switzerland. Do not do the cooking class here it is not a class but a stand and watch. Also know that one room is five flights up very narrow steep stairs. It does not list that on hotels.com. Staff should have seen our age and at least asked. They did agree to move us the second day but wanted an extra fee which I disagreed with and they conceded.

A fuir !
