Hotel Domomea was an alright stay. The breakfast buffet was good, nice food. There is a very small pool if you need to cool down. I also thought there was going to be a hot tub, but it is just a cold tub with jets. The room itself was alright. The bathroom shower didn't have a closed door, just a curtain, so the bathroom floor would get flooded after having a shower. The hotel is just in the city part of Alghero with not much views or interesting things to see. However, there is a really nice pizza restaurant where locals go nearby. Parking costs extra money if you are renting a car.

Absolutely lovely

Alghero, Sardinia worth a visit.
Very friendly and most helpful staff. Good location and in the centre for the old town, local shopping and beach in Alghero. The town of 40,000 is still relatively unspoilt by tourists as was the case during our stay in May.

The woman in charge of the breakfast area was very engaging and recommended some wonderful places to visit during our stay. Check in was easy and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and had double sinks. The bed was firm and the pillows comfortable. Breakfast was good and there was a nice variety including cereals, eggs, bacon, cheese, meats and sweets. There was a nice juice selection and the coffee was good too. The hotel is about half a mile from the old town. It's an easy walk there and also to the beach.

The bad: This is a four star hotel in name only. The facilities are mediocre, the bed was uncomfortable, the "in-room minibar" contained nothing more than four bottles of water, and the rooftop pool was both cold and covered in filth from birds. The good: Solid location, friendly staff, clean.
