Beech Hill Hotel & Spa
"Excellent stay, bar lovely, room very nice and clean, food excellent for price, spa nice"
The Angel Inn - The Inn Collection Group
"The Angel Inn was lovely and the staff couldn't have been nicer. There were some free things when using their app which were welcome. The inclusive breakfast was great and the location in Windermere was excellent allowing us to walk around the town and to the shore of the lake for boat trips. The rooms were very small even for one person so I think 2 might be challenging and the parking is not sufficient for all guests so it was hit or miss whether you got a space. Highly recommended though."
Lakes Hotel and Spa
"Great location & views from the hotel, short walk from the Lakes. Specious room. Food menu is good. Nice staff. We hired eBikes, Oliver was really helpful. Reception was quick easy check-in. Can't fault anything about the stay."
Howbeck Guest House
"Lovely room, great location"
Windermere Manor Hotel
"I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!"
The Belsfield Hotel
"Hotel was perfect location for getting to the lake and getting round the local bars/restaurants and shops. The view from the terrace was stunning and the hotel had lovely architecture. The room was ideal and lake view was gorgeous. Spiderwebs and bugs in the high ceilings were the only thing that let it down (we were staying in room 72). Breakfast had good options and majority of it was lovely. Only comment was the black pudding didn’t seem like it was cooked properly. We ate in the restaurant one night and couldn’t complain at all. I had the fish and chips and was one of the best I had. My partner had the mushroom risotto which was also lovely. But would definitely recommend and stay again"
Linthwaite House
"A superb hotel. Wonderful location with a fabulous terrace with views across Windermere. Great staff, lovely room and food was amazing. Perfect overnight trip"
Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa
"Excellent location - right by the lake. Lovely breakfast. All the staff were very helpful- especially Sandra who was excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay! Would certainly recommend this hotel."
The Ro Hotel
"Lovely hotel in great location."

For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price leans towards the higher end, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you secure the best deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Windermere's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found.
