Shap Wells Hotel

Shap Wells Hotel

8/10 Good
"Lovely old hotel out in the middle of nowhere. Ensure you follow hotel directions to get there, google sends you down an unkept road. We were not housed in the main hotel but in a separate building. There was no lift and we were on the second floor. Our party was all over 60, with one over 73, which wasn’t easy for carrying suitcases and we were not offered any assistance . The wifi was also poor in that building. On a positive note the food was excellent both dinner and breakfast were great, the only issue was we were unable to book in for dinner until 7.45 due to two coaches that were booked in prior."

"The room and bathroom were clean, Not a complaint but the shower was a bit small, if you're on the larger side of life you might find it difficult. Shower gel and soap was all vegan too. The owners were friendly and helpful, gave me some good advice on places to get food on the evening. I stayed for 1 night and it was perfect. Breakfast was tasty, perfect for a vegan and set me up for the day. I'd definitely stay again"

Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're informed about any price drops or availability changes, giving you a better chance to secure a last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could mean you may save on your stay in a hotel in Penrith. For those seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and occasionally better value.
