It’s a nice enough hotel in a very convenient area. The rooms were satisfactory with a comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom to go along with it, the staff were friendly and helpful!! The breakfast was the only negative side of this hotel, wasn’t the best standard and for the price of it there wasn’t much options… other than that it was an enjoyable stay!

The staff were very friendly and efficient at check-in and check-out. We had a cozy double room which is in the basement of the hotel. Smaller than a double room BUT still an excellent size, with a clean and well laid out shower room. There is no lift in the property, so there are quite a few staircases. I walk with a stick but found the stairs doable and on checking in the staff walked myself and my partner to the room. The Place is an excellent base for exploring Edinburgh. Easy to reach from either the train station or bus station.
