We were beat when we arrived after a long day
driving, but found a parking space easily and were greeted by an extremely
pleasant young lady at the front desk who spoke perfect English and recommended
the restaurant next door. It was pretty good, by the way, a Greek place, but
they don't take Visa and their special plate for two was more than enough for a
four---far too much. We had an enormous room (girlfriend said it was an
apartment!) ---there was even a comfortable couch---with a view of an old
German town out the back, and a large bathroom too (only a shower). Quite
idyllic. The rooms have obviously been recently redecorated---new laminate on
the bedroom floors; new fixtures in the bathroom. Wi-Fi connection is a bit
spotty---the signal seems very week---but it worked long enough to do what we
wanted to do. This was only a one-night stay on our way to Munich. The
neighbourhood around the hotel looks most interesting, but we had no time to
investigate. Breakfast was typical European; good value for the 7 or 8 euros it
cost.
