Learn more about Valletta
Baroque splendour unfolds throughout Europe's sunniest capital, with honey-colored limestone buildings concealing treasures behind ornate facades. The Grand Harbour offers spectacular views from traditional dghajsa boats gliding past ancient fortifications. St. John's Co-Cathedral's austere exterior belies its interior Caravaggio masterpieces and knights' tombstone floors. Upper Barrakka Gardens provide the perfect spot to witness the noon cannon salute. Strait Street, formerly a sailors' haunt, now thrives with trendy cafés. Fort St. Elmo houses the War Museum, while the Grandmaster's Palace displays opulent state rooms. For authentic pastizzi, follow government workers at breakfast time instead of tourists.

Melior Boutique Hotel
"Hotel was excellent in terms of location, cleanliness, and ease of access. Staff was very helpful and friendly. However, there was payment issues with Expedia not releasing payment to the hotel and I was only notified on the day of check in just 1hr before my flight. Hotel contacted me to make payment again as they did not receive. This was badly managed from Expedia’s end. Coordination between the hotel reservations team and Expedia needs improvement. Reception team of the hotel did well to manage the issue."
Palazzo Ignazio
"We had a lovely room with a small balcony when we stayed for 3 nights. Very well located with the main streets of Valletta literally just around the corner. We took breakfast on the roof top each morning, great start to the day. Great air-conditioning, certainly needed in August, lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water. €20 Bolt from the airport, Would recommend"
Palais Le Brun
"Excellent in every way!!!"
The Capital Boutique Hotel
"What a lovely experience! Lovely staff, well maintained rooms and property and a great location. Thank you to all of the team. We so enjoyed our stay!"
The Gomerino Hotel
"Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Valetta, perfect for a city break. We stayed 3 nights. Our room had a wonderful view overlooking the Grand Harbour. The room had everything we needed and was clean. The breakfast was good. The small pool on the roof, although not big enough for swimming, was perfect for a dip after a hot day’s sightseeing. Turns out there is also an indoor pool which we didn’t find until the day we were leaving!"
San Karlu Hotel
"Overall very nice hotel, clean room. Polite and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Just few things we disliked. The swimming pool and the area around was little small for all of us trying to escape the heat on Saturday afternoon. Also we were surprised to hear from our bed late in the night the noises coming from washroom nextdoor room so loud. The walls all around looks thick but apparently not between two rooms. I guess the hotel layout of our bed right next to other guests washroom, it's very bed choice.Maybe was only our room. I don't know but we woke up few times and fall asleep right after. If I ever go again in that hotel I will make sure to have some more assurance about those kinds of noises."
Palazzo Rosaria Boutique Hotel
"Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Lovely, clean room very comfortable with a great breakfast. Would highly recommend and return in the future. 10 out of 10"
The Barrister
"Absolutely everything was 10 out of 10 ."
The Embassy Valletta Hotel
"Very clean, modern, very nice hotel in a fantastic location if you want to enjoy the nightlife, cafes, bars, music along Strait Street. I only have one complaint. They pump so much "air freshener" into the lobby and public areas that it nearly makes your eyes water. It seeps into the rooms. Also the hand soap and lotion in the bathroom have got to be 50% perfume; and not good expensive perfume, the rancid cheap perfume that your aunt Bertha would wear. My wife made the mistake of trying some of the lotion on her legs and she nearly had to take a shower afterwards to get the stink off of her. Maybe it's something about Malta since we noticed the same type of overpowering "air freshener" in the three separate rides we took from the local Bolt ride share company. In any case, I would highly suggest that management squelch the air fresheners and just let people breathe normal air. And switch out the soap and lotions to something that is fragrance-free. Your guests will thank you for it."
