The hotel underwent a refurbishment a few years ago and now offers nice accommodation and good facilities. The Club bar is a nice place for a pre dinner drink and the afternoon teas are a nice way to spend an afternoon. My only criticism would be the standard and variety of food offered in the main restaurant in what is billed as a Malta’s only five star hotel but the hotel is very close to Valetta centre and the city offers a great variety of very good restaurants and bars to choose from.

I have no words to describe the property and the staff. All I can say, this is a very beautiful hotel. Five star at its best. The staff is amazing. Starting from the people who open the door for you and carry your luggage, follow by the receptionist. (Nicola) and restaurant staff. For dinner we had a waiter name Alejandro. This guy is top notch. For Breakfast we had Luisa. She’s a sweetheart gentle beautiful girl with a genuine smile and willing to go the extra mile to meet all your service needs. My wife and I come from hospitality industry. She was a chef at the White House and The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington DC. I worked as a waiter and dining room manager at The Willard Intercontinental Hotel at The Willard Room Restaurant in Washington DC. What we experienced and this property it is just fantastic. They made us fell like if we were coming from the royalty family. The Hotel General Manager she is a wonderful lady. We saw her helping the service staff at the restaurant. She got involved in the service just like any other waiter providing service and making sure all guest are doing well. I love to see this from a manager being a great example to their employees. The ladies and housekeeping staff just fantastic. The hotel is clean and spotless everywhere you walk. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and we will definitely when we go back to Malta this will be our home. Thank you for all.

Perfect location but some significant drawbacks
Overall very nice hotel, excellent location, beautiful garden and swimming pool. No shower tray, bidet and espresso machine are definitely drawbacks for 5* hotel.
