Beautiful building but it’s not for us.
Beautiful hotel but not for us. We declined 1st room offered (ground floor) as virtually no natural light. Reluctantly accepted 2nd room on 2nd floor as now realised “Classic Rooms” have no view except through window onto internal central shaft. Disappointing, as I’d written in advance requesting a view and thought as a Gold member of Hotels.com this might carry some weight but not. Then requested a move to a balcony room (which face back of a food court (with attendant smells and noise) but front desk manager didn’t come back to us and we never saw him again. The sauna is by appointment only and the pool bar and lounge bar generally closed. There are no restaurant facilities that we could find, despite marketing material saying two. Generally feel quite misled.
This is the internal shaft onto which the Classic Room windows all seem to face.
From second floor, you need to step outside your room to check the weather!
