Hotel cleaning staff were excellent, ensuring a prompt and thorough clean on a daily basis. However small things such as the hair dryer off switch not working, and the balcony door being difficult to push open were mino inconvenience. My main concern however was the way in which we were dealt with. I arrived at 10am, and understandably the hotel have their own check in policy of 3pm. Despite the latter however, we were told several times at hourly intervals that our room was "getting ready" and should be available soon. I was left waiting around for 5 hours clinging on the hope that it would be any minute now based on the interaction from hotel staff. I ended up wasting a SIGNIFICANT portion of time on my first day of a short stay in Dubai, and even at 3pm the room was delayed for another 15 minutes. All I was given was an apology with no real conviction in the sincerity. I also expressed that other hotel guests who arrived to similar times to myself were catered for hours before me. Instead of empathising, or taking responsibility, they replied with "there is a priority list". At the end of the day, I am a paying customer, and I do not appreciate being lied to, and the lack of empathy towards the value of my time, especially when you are there for a short stay. Wont be visiting again im afraid.
