Good hotel
we stayed for 2 nights at this hotel , it is in a brilliant location for all the sights , beds are comfortable . Breakfast is very nice , good choice. I receptionist was very pleasant and friendly one lady not so much . We would definitely stay here again

Disappointing experience
Great location but found the receptionist on my arrival lacking any customer service i.e no smile/hello and was quite rude when I asked questions. The hotel is pretty dated with no shower head holder and no bath screen and noisy room. At least the beds were comfortable and had clean white linen. breakfast was very average too. Really more like a 2-3*.

Good Location. Hot in summer.
Good location within easy walking distance of the downtown sites. Reserved street parking available. The rooms are not air conditioned and were very hot during our late July stay. The staff was accommodating and the provided breakfast was good.

I liked the overall feel of the hotel. Food, staff, cleanliness were all good. It's very close to the university and squares. Hearing the traffic in the distance was the only drawback, but I would stay there again and just bring earplugs if I need to go to sleep early.

Perfect!
Wow this hotel is nice!!! Our room was enormous by American standards! The lobby was pretty and it has two elevators. The breakfast was included and it was pretty good with cereal, salads, bread, sausage, eggs and more. It is also in a great location, about 10 mins by foot to train station and right in the city center. I would deffo stay here again!

The hotel is dated but always clean and staff friendly. We have stayed here a number of times. It is very central to historic landmarks, shopping areas and all types of transportation. The only negative was the lack of air conditioning and some noise outside due to its central location.

Slavia Brno
Second time here. Not first choice but central. Rooms do need to be updated as very old decor. Room we stayed in was not air conditioned and was very hot. Reception provided a fan when I asked but this only made it slightly better. Poor design in room with old furniture and tv not facing bed. Breakfast is ok and quite a lot of choice. Good central location. In honest though better hotels in Brno centre for the same price if you book far enough ahead which have more modern and comfortable room specs. Slavia though is passable for a night if its not to hot!!

It would be a nice stay if we would not have room on the top floor without A/C and on the top of that you cannot take a normal shower becouse there is no shower curtains exist. People smoke in lobby of the hotel and you can small in the elevator.

It's all about location
I came to Brno for just a day of business meetings and needed a place for the night. The hotel was easy to find and the staff were friendly when greeting and checking me in. I'm not sure if there was a problem in the transmission of my Orbit reservation, but I was given two separated twin beds when I was just one person. I don't need a lot of space or anything, but it was not what I was expecting. Brno and much of Central Europe was in the midst of a pretty massive heat wave so -- especially as a North American -- the lack of AC was frustrating to say the least. The bathrooms are clean but in need of some re-decoration. My biggest issue was that my room was facing out to a very loud street corner
