Hotel in the best neighborhood
This hotel is in an amazing neighborhood extremely central to everything in Paris. The hotel itself is clean, the staff is friendly, and everything is in working order. The bed is hard for my taste, but others might not find it so. The WIFI is reliable. Despite the vibrant neighborhood, I didn’t find the hotel itself noisy.

Total dump
There was no hot water each morning. Electricity went out and surged ruining my electronics. In a terrible neighborhood. Rats nearby. Front office was under construction. Bed bugs and mold in shower.

Decent for the price
On the whole, this hotel was great for the price. The rooms were clean and larger than we expected. We were able to check our bags the next day without problems. There were two problems: 1) the WiFi signal in my room was too weak to connect to. I had to stand out in the hall to access the internet. I think this was partially because I was on the fifth floor. My friend who I was traveling with was on the second floor and was able to use the internet from his room, and the signal seemed to get stronger as I went downstairs. 2) If you're entering after hours, you have to talk over an intercom system to get in, which I found to be an incredibly stressful experience. The first time we used it (to check in), I could barely hear what the person on the other end was saying over the ambient noise. Later, when we were just trying to get back in, it was really unclear what we were supposed to say to get in. I was expecting the guy on the other end to ask me for whatever information he needed, but he was apparently waiting for me to say something, and I didn't know what. I ended up just saying what my name was, and that seemed to work, but I'm still not sure if it was right or if he just gave up in frustration. Check out went really smoothly, though. They were even nice enough to let me pay the tax by credit card, because I hadn't gotten any euros yet (FYI: you're supposed to pay in cash).

It was great!
This hotel was great. Awesome price, great location, metro is super close and you can also walk to many famous touristic places. I highly recommend. The only thing is that they don't have AC but you only need it during a few hot summer days. Great place for a great price.

Nice stay.
This is very nice hotel for the price and location. Very close to subway/metro station and it did not take us long to walk to places like Louvre and Notre Dame. Room was a bit small (may be because we had 4 tween beds for 2 adults and 2 kids), but clean and comfortable. A lot good places to eat nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not buy breakfast at the hotel, so have no comments on that. Definitely recommend!

Good Hotel.
A good a convenient place to stay in Paris. Close to the Metro and a lively neighborhood. Small but serviceable elevator that goes to all floors.

Our stay ay Hotel D'Enghien
The 2 stars are well deserved. Our room was pretty small, and so was the bathroom. it wasn't very clean - the night we arrived the toilet smelled really bad and it didn't get much better the following days. Also, we dropped 2 pillows on the floor during the night, and the next day we found them on our beds - they just picked them up from the dirty floor and put them back on our clean pillows. Other than that - service was OK and so was breakfast.

Fine for the price
Hello all. This hotel is showing wear but served it's intended purpose as far as a cheap place to sleep. I enjoyed it was a little off the main Blvd and have perhaps a more untouristy experience. My room looked over some attic Windows across the street which were old and run down but nice to see something not sterile and catered to spoiled Americans.Front office friendly and efficient. Hotel advertised free Wi Fi but connection could not be made due to poor connection reception. I went to McDonald's for internet service. Hotel was ok for price. Close to major Blvd and metro. Room was clean and bathroom clean with good water pressure. No air conditioning so I left Windows open. For 60 dollars a night not bad overall. Thanks for reading and happy travels!

Paris on a budget
An adequate, value for money stopover pad for those with busy itinarys, handily placed for arrival into Gare du Nord and getting to and from all of the tourist sites. You can find what you need in the bustling neighbourhood but it is noisy at night. The shower drain was a bit smelly. Everything else was clean and provided what was promised. Will use again but ask for room not overlooking the street.

Cramped in Paris for 4-days and 3-nights
The room we were in was quite small for four (4) people. The one double bed and two single beds occupied the whole space. We could barely move around. It was not an air-conditioned room so we had to ask for an electric fan. The front desk guy gladly gave me the fan that he was using as there's none other available on our first night. I had to ask for another one the following day and was glad that the front desk guy found an oscillating one. Paris temperature was in the mid-30's to low 40's Celsius. The fans provided some relief. Hotel d'Enghien is in a busy and noisy neighborhood. We had our windows (bedroom window and bathroom window) opened at night so we got to hear all the noises outside. The best part of our stay is the hotel staff. They were very helpful, friendly, courteous and accommodating. Thanks you to the front desk guys (forgot their names) and the cleaning lady (Florence) for their assistance!

Stay somewhere else!
I chose this hotel because it was a few minutes from my daughter's apartment...big mistake. While the staff was friendly, room reasonably priced and the staff spoke and understood English...the hotel was very, very noisy. I could hear my neighbor's TV, conversation, toilet flushing, shower, doors opening, closing, etc.... The elevator did not work for one of the days (maybe longer), there was black mold in the shower stall corners and there was no way to regulate the room temperature so the room was warm...if you opened the door/window you got garbage noise and other street noise...

Good value and location
My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel d'Enghien on the last day of our 2.5 week roadtrip. The location is great for public transportation (car, not so much...area has a lot of traffic). We were able to get to everywhere we wanted to go fairly easily. It's only a short 10 minute walk up to Gard du Nord, which made getting to the airport really easy. The man who works at the front desk is nice and very helpful. We had a lot of luggage with us and the lift is fairly small so he was kind enough to send the other half of our luggage up the lift after me. The room is small but this is the case for all Paris hotels. All in all, I would stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Very Good location
The first night we were furious because the room was not the one we reserved to accomodate three adults. Next morning the attitude of the lady in charge who promised to change our room at first ability (which She did) and the location of the hotel made us stay for the rest of our visit to Paris.
