I stayed at the Holiday Inn Helsinki during a long overnight layover and was delighted with my stay. Overall it's a good quality airport hotel and great for staying around the airport. The rooms were very reasonably priced and comfortable, and the hotel breakfast was delicious. The airport shuttle was also very easy to use (comes about every 20-30 minutes, shuttle schedules are posted online and around the lobby which I appreciated). Reception was also polite and helpful. Highly recommend!

In their restaurant, I ordered the ”smash bacon” burger. Extremely greasy and way too salty, I suspect they pour the bacon fat from the pan all over the burger. I took one bite and then had to send it back.

Feels abit dated; everything else great!

Booked a single room due to flight cancellation. Very much appreciated the airport shuttle service, which was regular and punctual. Recept staff was helpful and understanding towards my situation and needs. Room was not spacious, but had all the essentials that one would need for a short stay. Good shower that ran hot water quickly instead of having to fumble with the knobs (like in some other European hotels). Good spread for breakfast including both cold cuts, bread and warm dishes.

The staff here do an amazing job, from reception to dining and cleaning. Huge shout out to Sanna at reception who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and Heidi from the dining area who was also a gem! Big complaints here were unresponsive thermostats (Thankfully Sanna brought us a portable heater to help with the cold), and the drab outdated room and bathroom, and worn out furniture in room and in lobby lounge. The bottoms all sag and are not comfortable.

Miinuksia siitä, ettei henkilökuntaa saanut puhelimella kiinni useista yrityksistä huolimatta. Huoneiden ovipumput ovat niin tehokkaita, että koko huone tärisee aina, kun joku lähtee tai saapuu huoneeseensa samalla käytävällä. Lisäksi ikkunoista kuuluu todella hyvin läpi. Ei siis herkkäunisille tämä hotelli! Pinnat kuluneita, kalusteet 70-luvulta. Kukaan henkilökunnasta ei hymyillyt kahden päivän oleskeluni aikana, mutta kaikki sujui muuten ok.
