The location was wonderful. Although it was not city center, it is one of the few spots with direct access to the beach, which was great! This area definitely had a slower pace, beach town feel, vs what you would get in Fira. The island is so small though that you can easily still get to all the other places you want to see as well. I would 100% go back here! Keep in mind, just like the rest of the island of Santorini, expect the power to go on and off randomly. This can be annoying in terms of your fridge and AC turning off, but it is to be expected on the whole island.

Great location, great staff
After two days in Athens, we came to the Anemos Beach Lounge Hotel and had a great time. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and very clean. Would strongly recommend.

If you want to be relax and enjoy the beach this hotel is the best , if you have problem going stairs just get the first floor because stairs are kind of not safe ! But first floor it's not flat so you still get a good View ! Staff are nice and helpful and friendly just didn't tell us that we could use wifi on the beach area too until last day we found out about it !you just have to use a different cod

shuttle,room,sheets
An email was sent to the hotel 24 hours prior to arrival for a shuttle to pick us up. We unfortunately waited almost an hour with no luck. We finally got to the hotel via independent transportation. When I asked at the front desk about the hotel shuttle , I was told they never received my email. Luckily I had a reply back from the hotel that my email was received. I was give an excuse that the front desk employees don't have access to such emails. We checked in,our room smelled funny. Toilets don't flush. Our sheets were smelly. Very unpleasant experience. When I asked at the front desk regarding the sheets, once again I was given an excuse. The housekeeper had to go back to Athens so there's no one to clean the rooms or put fresh sheets in our room. The hotel location was great, literally on the beach, with plenty of restaurants and bars. But sadly with such an aweful experience we won't be going back there again. Not for what the hotel is advertising on Expedia and other sites and what we received.

Definitely a beach house with a lovely hostest
The hotel is a ways away from the other busier beaches; it feels a bit disconnected and only a short strip of restaurant/bar options that all close REALLY early. The hotel manager, Sofia, was completely lovely. She's the best aspect of this property, and she was willing to move us after cockroaches were discovered in the room. She also was realistic about the fact that this is absolutely a *beach* house, not anything similar to the hotels in, say, Oia or on the Caldera side. We wished we had not spent three nights at Perivolas and had, instead, gone to the other side of the island. The black beach was interesting, and -- granted -- things are relatively close on Santorini, but you cannot stay at this hotel without a car or other mode of transportation. Finally, I'd recommend springing for the sea view; otherwise, you're view will be of a junky parking lot and/or back of a restaurant.

Good to be close to the beach
I chose Anemos to be close to the beach which is was. However I was disappointed with the hotel and room as the photos had portrayed a more modern and bigger hotel. But the staff were good, the restaurant was good and it was only 20 ft from the beach.

Enjoyed our stay. Great location.
We stayed here on our honeymoon and really enjoyed our stay. The location is right across the street from the beach and it is a fairly quiet area for Santorini, which is what we wanted. The room was comfortable, except the AC in our room was broken and they were not able to fix it. We would recommend this place.

Great location, at the beach
Most people stay in Santorini and stay at the caldera (the cliffs), I wanted a beach hotel, this stay was perfect, it's right on the beach, with its own private lounges and a Resturant. The staff was so kind and friendly, from the moment we were checked in, to the moment we left we were treated like family. The hotel is not luxurious, but it's well kept and charming. And it's the most beautiful setting, stay in Perrisa and go to Fira and Oia for dinner, but your days at the black sand beach will be memorable. We are defiantly coming back to this hotel.

Great Location! Great Beach!
The location of this hotel was great and the view was fantastic. The beach town has a nice feel and the people are super-friendly. There is not a lot to do in the town, but obviously the beach is the main attraction. We had a great experience here. The staff was great and the hotel itself was very nice, clean and inviting. The lounge area where they serve breakfast was really nice and they turn it into a mid-afternoon respite with food and a bar. The beach was...amazing. I love the black sand beaches. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Nice location terrible hotel
Other than the great location which is right across from the beach this hotel really failed to meet any standards that even a 2 star hotel would have. The hotel has recently changed its name and management and they do a good job to make it look like its going to be a great hotel with a freshly painted exterior. The rooms are cramped, have old tvs, towels not replaced, soap and toilet paper not replaced, small showers that flood whole bathroom, two double beds pushed together is what they call a queen, rusty shower taps, complementry beach towels tend to be unavailable after morning, rooms cleaned at about 3 pm daily (our room was left unlocked 4 days in a row), in our case a broken toilet which was finally replaced on our third day after being fixed 4 times (we had to leave the room for 4hours while they installed a new toilet). Overall unfriendly receptionists unknowledgable as to anything in the area. I hate to write such a bad review but after traveling all over Europe a month worst hotel experience so far. The manager offered us two nights refund after but then when we were checking out tried to tell us we needed to take it up with booking agent and refused to even hand write a receipt of our agreement, said he would email booking agent and they would take care of it which he lied and didnt. Thankfully they were able to follow up and issue us a refund. Unimpressed with being scammed like that, Id say avoid this place completely, there are tons of cheaper hotels listed as 2-3 star that are twice as nice. Ask any local about this hotel and they will warm you. By the way i live in Hawaii we see over 1 million tourists a year and i work in hospo this isnt meant to slander any hotel ive never written a bad review before. Just looking to help out the next person who falls into this place as they have done a good job on their web page to create a nice facade.

Beautiful hotel but be careful!
The Anemos Beach Lounge is a beautiful luxurious hotel on a gorgeous private beach. The room was spacious, had a balcony overlooking the sea and pool (we also had an awesome deal from hotels.com!). The service at the hotel and particularly on the beach was excellent and the food was delicious... a bit on the pricier side, but offered different fare from the usual tourist stuff. Just beware of the bait and switch. When we arrived at the hotel, they told us our room wasn't ready and we would have to stay a night at their sister hotel in Kamari. The sister hotel is far less superior and Kamari's beach is quite rocky. The next morning when we tried to leave back to Anemos, they told us our room still wasn't ready. I was firm and told them that i paid to stay at Anemos, not the sister hotel. 20 minutes later they said our room was ready and the rest of our stay was amazing... worth the one night of less than ideal settings.

Overpriced!! Do NOT stay here.
This hotel is overpriced because: 1) Did not have a door that closed. The only way for it to stay closed to the outside was to lock it. If you didn't, the door would just swing open. Our room opened to the outside of the hotel (not an indoor hallway) so very unsafe. 2) No working safety deposit box. We asked them to fix it twice and they said they would and never did 3) Not enough clothes hangers. There were only 4 hangers for two people... asked for more and said that it would not be possible. They were too cheap to give us a few extra hangers 4) No dresser or drawers to lay out your clothes. Lived out of our luggage bcs of the lack of hangers or a proper dresser 4) The bathroom was super small. Super small shower (no bathtub)...just the corner of the bathroom sectioned off by a shower curtain and some tile really. Not enough room for a person to wash properly; with no place to lay out your toothbrush etc. 5) If someone else flushed a toilet or opened the water in another hotel room water would change temps drastically 5) The room was off to the back and was ground floor entry level with view of their laundry 6) The water tasted like bad salt water. To be fair, the whole island has a shortage of water but don't advertise and call yourself a 4 star hotel if you can't offer water to shower in. The room was extremely overpriced! 7) no iron or board, blowdrier The one good thing was the beach bar breakfast. Also, waitress, was professional courteous and very polite.

While the hotel is not a four star facility the staff certainly acts like it. They are incredibly eager to help in any way they possibly can. They go way beyond what I think most people would expect. We had a wonderful time.

A bit of a disappointment...
Don't be fooled by the professional look of the hotel website and the beauty of the pictures - the reality is nothing like it!!! The best thing about the hotel is the adjacent stylish beach lounge where breakfast is served, a nice and chilled place, and the breakfast is pretty good. The hotel itself is 3 star at best. Our room was small and neither stylish nor comfortable. Plumbing is pretty bad - don't try to use the toilet twice in a row as the cistern won't fill up again! As other previous users have mentioned, the room doors slam loudly when closed and the hallways are generally noisy in the night - so is the road outside the hotel on weekends. The pool is small, set in concrete and fenced in, with no attempt at providing shade for the few loungers or making it pretty with plants or any other accessories. There is a private stretch of beach just across the road from the hotel, but it's rather small and crammed, with the loungers very close to each other and no privacy. The first-row loungers were occupied pretty early in the morning (in late September, mid-season), so after that you are left with a second- or third-row view of your hotel neighbours rather than the sea. Perivolos beach is generally quite busy, with all hotels and many bars occupying stretches of beach, so you can't really find privacy elsewhere either. All in all, the hotel was a bit of a disappointment, and not really worth the amount we paid for it on Expedia.

Will definitely go back
What a little gem! Beachfront, great lounge, great service all at a reasonable price! Our stay was perfect, just the quiet beach get away we needed. We went in early May before the season started so the ambiance might be different when the island is in full swing. It's obvious the hotel just went through a recent remodel. There are still a few final touches missing in one or two rooms. The extremely nice young man at the front desk showed us one room that was missing a shower and floor drain cover. One negative point is the way the room doors close and open. As the hotel has all marble floors (no rugs or carpeting anywhere), you can loudly hear people opening and closing their doors day and night. Other than that, our stay at the hotel was wonderful!

Do not stay at La Meduse
My partner and I recently went to santorini for the easter break and we unfortunately had to deal with La Meduse which we booked through Expedia. See what was wrong with this hotel below: 1 Hard to find, none of the locals know it either (not a good start) 2 Greeted by the catering staff 3 The hotel does not have double beds, twin beds only. For a double bed they push two beds together 4 Sink and shower was not working properly. 5 hotel only just opened and had loud workmen noises to greet us. 6 Fire extingishers in the corner of the reception
