Welsh Road Trip 2024
Our first stop on the road trip. We sadly didn't get to take the train up to Snowdon but that was the only bad thing that happened on the entire trip (blasted weather!). The Stay at the Victoria was very comfortable and got us started off in the right way on our Welsh road trip :)

Mr Hill
This is the best accommodation you will find in Llanberis. Staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is a bit tired but its warm and comfortable. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good with a good size portion, which was well received after a days hiking.

Room decor matches local industry
Lovely newly decorated Executive Suite room it appeared. The theme was slate, in keeping with the nearby slate industry.

Lovely room, excellent food.
Just a one night stay to visit Mt Snowdon, well pleased
with the hotel. This is obviously a Coaching Hotel catering for large groups. We were not part of any group, just an individual booking and were treated with a seperate dining room that served up excellent food, brilliant. The young lady on reception was very courteous and allowed us to leave our car in the car park while we visited Mt Snowdon. All round excellence.

Stayed for one night. Hotel is very convenient for llanberis and Snowdon and area. Single room was tiny though and a bit tired. Bedside loghr flashed and the bathroom fan screeched like a harpi for 5 minutes every time it was fored up with the bathroom light. Pretty much zero sound insulation so you can hear every detail of the conversations of people walking past the room. However it was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

It was a pleasant & quiet stay. Staff were all friendly & helpful. Single room was very compact but the price does tend to reflect that.

Too busy to relax
Hotel was extremely busy 7/9/24, room 110 was hot and stuffy, window opened onto rear courtyard, which was noisy with people talking right under the window at midnight. Restaurant was fully booked ate in the bar which was like Waterloo at rush hour. Very disappointed.

Excellent location for exploring Llanberis and nearby area. Close to start of walk up Snowdon, the steam trains, the Ceunant Mawr waterfall, Dolbadarn Castle, Padarn Country Park and the Slate museum. Good breakfast choices and the meals in the bar were all excellent but pricey. Hotel bit dated and bit of a maze finding room/lifts/stairs. Large, clean, quiet room with nice view of surrounding mountains. Very comfortable bed. Creaky floorboards! Bathroom a bit small but decent shower.
