Funky mid-century modern resort. Great pools!
We stay here on our way to CA beaches near San Diego. We love the desert oasis vibe and the pools here are just wonderful. Love the food at the restaurant and the great service we receive. Bar is fanciful with a giant desert mural, multiple tvs and karaoke nights which are entertaining. Wish they had extended stay rates for snowbirds. I’d gladly spend a month here.

Great place to unwind
I've stayed at DHS Spa Hotel maybe a dozen times over the past decade. The Spa is definitely a hold-over from an earlier era, and has lots of idiosyncrasies (few wall plugs, finicky TVs and heating/AC -- but the overall ambiance is completely charming. And the hot pools are as lovely as they look in any PR pic you see of the property. It's also remarkably inexpensive compared to most lodging in the area.

We are locals in DHS , we live not even a mile away from The Desert Hotel Springs Spa Hotel. We have many little grandchildren who come over and we love to take them there to have them swim.. We don’t have a pool at our home so we take them to the hotel .. The place is very nice, the kids have a ball with different pools and spas to play in.. The staff is very friendly and accommodating .. The room is clean and free of any bugs .. My only complaint is that the housekeeping don’t keep stuff in the room stocked up with the regular stuff such as towels, toilet paper, soaps, shampoo etc… Also, the hair dryer hasn’t worked in any of the rooms .. The hotel is very chill …

Another nice relaxing stay
Had another great visit. The room I had requested wasnt available but the lady at the front desk took care of me so was happy with the above and beyond level of customer service. Pools were clean and warm but the swimming pool for the last few visits has been pretty cold so do one was using it. That does tend to move the kids from the pool to the spas which is not very relaxing for the adults trying to relax. But, overall a nice trip. See you all again next month!

Catching a Tennis Match @ Indian Wells!
Last minute choice as was planning on driving back to LA after the ladies tennis match @ Indian Wells. Late check in went well as matches were running late due to rain. Price under $100 is great. Pros - Room was clean, bathroom had mini shampoo/conditioner, mini fridge. Cons - funky smell, furniture is dated, carpet had stains, location a bit sketchy. Did not have time for pools as weather was cold. A bit of a drive to get to downtown Palm Springs. I would not consider a 2nd stay.
