I recently stayed at Bolton, an upmarket hotel with many appealing features. The rooms were spacious, elegantly decorated, and offered good views. The amenities were top-notch, providing a luxurious experience. However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The WiFi was disappointingly slow, which was frustrating for both work and leisure purposes. Additionally, while the staff were professional and attentive, the service felt overly formal, lacking the warmth and personal touch that makes a stay truly memorable. Despite these issues, the overall experience was pleasant, and the hotel’s prime location and beautiful surroundings made it a worthwhile stay. Bolton Hotel is tucked away near a corner of the Terrace so all of down town Wellington is easily walkable. The hotel is decorated very tastefully. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant and everything was delicious with pleasant service. The Concierge staff were wonderful helping us with our luggage and their car valet service. If I let them know we would be going out again in a short time they’d accommodate our car to make it easier and quicker for us. They were very thoughtful and extremely pleasant to deal with. Front desk staff were equally as good, but we dealt with them far less. We stayed three nights and will return in three months.

Great location, good room, just a little small
The location was good but the room was very small. It would have been fine if there had been more storage options. There was also very little closet space. Having said that, the staff was friendly and helpful and we made good use of the fridge. Good water pressure and no problems with getting anything to work. Good experience overall.
