Honest review (resort for families)
Honestly..
This resort is made for families. Your kids will love the amenities like game rooms, multiple pools, waterpark, and entertainment like Sesame Street. They have options great for ages 2 to teens. The beach is amazing.
It’s not a place for food. They had adequate food, edible but lacks in quality. I did catch a stomach bug of some sort 4 days in to my stay (was there for 8) and lasted till today (been 6 days). They use the cheapest food. Coffee is watery and machine made, fruits are mainly melons, meat is chewy, desserts don’t taste fresh, fruit juices are all concentrate. They don’t have fresh fruit juices there which I was surprised about considering all the coconuts the palm trees provide.
Service is hit or miss. Some staff are super friendly, and some seem like they hate their lives for working there and you can really feel it. For example, the Cafe de Paris shop there got busy and orders were consistently
incorrect but guests just laughed it off and we’re too afraid to ask for their proper order because it had already taken so long and you can see the staff were unhappy. Luckily my order was correct but I’ve witnessed this multiple times. Also, some staff will go before you and you will have to move out of their way when you’re walking.
The stay in our unit was clean, but the trundle beds are very uncomfortable. So if you’re planning on using those, I’d suggest getting another room if you want a bed that isn’t soft and springs.
