3 nights stay hotel in downtown Toronto
We stayed 3 nights at this Hotel with the only positive thing is that it was central. however the hotel requires an urgent need for refurbishment. Bathroom facilities worn out and it took an average of 5 minutes to wait for the elevator.

Exceptional 10.0
Chelsea hotel was excellent with no issues. Clean rooms, even had a balcony. Friendly staff. Toronto is a great city to visit with both the buzz of a city and also on lake Ontario and a good base to visit Niagara Falls from.

Shabby
The hotel is shabby, in need of serious refurbishment. We were recommended to ask for a room in “the refurbished side” of the hotel which we did, upon checkin. We were told no problem and that we had also been given an upgrade. When we reached the room, we were horrified. The room was about 30 years old minimum. We went back downstairs again, waited in line again, and again asked for a room on the refurbished side of the hotel. We were told that the upgrade offered was on the non-refurbished side so if we wanted the refurbished side we couldn’t get an upgrade. We said fine, just please give us a more modern room. So we were given another room which was newer than the first but I would still not consider it to be “refurbished” . The corridors leading from the elevators to the room were so dirty and disgusting, we had to hold our breaths and run to the room each time. The carpet in the corridor smelled of vomit, pure and simple, there’s no other way to describe it. I would never recommend the hotel to anybody.

Poor 2.0
Horrible experience
I had the worst night as I couldn’t sleep due to a laid noise cMount from the fan and after a tenting too fix the issue with the thermostat I contacted the front desk and they send a maintenance guy who didn’t really do anything and suggested to change rooms but it was already 4am and I didn’t want to go through a room change at that time so i decided ti turn off the AC but then the room was way to hot so I was awake the e tired tonight

Good 6.0
I didn’t like that we did not get a fridge or microwave provided in the room. And there were no microwaves in the lobby to use for guests. Other then that they stay was great.

Very Good 8.0
Admist Covid-19
I felt the rooms were showing their age and no coffee pot just kettle in room for instant coffee.Otherwise had no problem considering we were there during Covid -19 outbreak. I give a high five to the friendliness and helpful staff at this time. The cleanliness and providing / handling buffet breakfast to change to individual servings was appreciated. Hand sanitizer everywhere and staff taking precautions towards customers. Thankyou

Good 6.0
I specifically booked this hotel because we have 4 children. The pool and kids area was very appealing. The pool area was pretty gross looking to me (which was even more worrisome during the COVID outbreaks), the water slide wasn't working.. one person told us the attendant was on break and another person told us the slide was broken. It never was open while we were there. Every time we went to the kids areas, they were closed. We like to sleep cold and couldn't turn the AC on because the hotel had it off. They brought us a fan, which did nothing but circulate warm air. The rooms in the pictures didn't look anything like the rooms we had. And parking was $40!! Insane! The staff was all very nice and the lobby/restaurant areas of the hotel are extremely nice. Very deceiving. Not sure I'd stay at this hotel again.
