Stayed for 3 nights. Room is basic (as expected). This specific hotel had brand new washers and dryers (total 3 machines for the whole hotel). Close to restaurants, shops, and train station. Staff were very helpful. Will stay here again.

The staff was great but the room was small and only cleaned on every third day. Everyday we got new towels which was nice but sometimes too much.

Nice hotel right down the street from Ueno station. Beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. Staff was very friendly. They had a laundry room and coffee machine in the lobby. Room was not as small as I thought it would be so we had plenty of room to move around. Would recommend.

Friendly staff at Tosei, lots of amenities and even when we asked for no room cleaning they would leave fresh water and towels outside our room which was appreciated.

Room is small but clean, bed is comfy but more importantly the location is tip top.

8/10 Very good

We enjoyed a great stay in an excellent location. Hotel is clean and staff are very friendly. They have spare toiletries available as well as a decent coffee system that is available 24 hours. The small laundry facility is also very useful and we enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet that had both Japanese and Western food choices. The rooms are small, very small, so that is something to consider if that is important to you. We couldn't really unpack but for our short stay this location is fantastic and worked very well for our needs.

10/10 Exceptional

Cozy room in a quiet hotel less than 10 minutes walk from Ueno station, numerous shops, bars and restaurants. Comfy bed, decent shower. Not much room for storing bags and limited hanger space, though that seems to be typical for hotels here!
