Pleasant stay
The experience was good but could have been excellent. Here’s why: I had initially wanted to extend my stay for another night but she was unable to give me the room rate for the next day. She said the hotel room rates fluctuate daily and asked me to check again the next day. While I understood room rates fluctuate, I am quite surprised that hotel front desk staffs do not have access to the room rates prior. This is the first time a front desk staff is unable to tell me the room rate for extension of my stay in any hotel. If I check the hotel website, it will be able to give me a rate for rooms booked months in advance. The same staff have knowledge that our rooms come with breakfast (she repeated that to me when during checkin) but did not inform us the time and location where breakfast is served. We were also not informed about how to log into the hotel room wifi. I had to figure it out myself to realise there was no password required. I don’t think the front desk staffs should take for granted that hotel guests know these information without being informed. For the lack of initiative of the staffs, I decided not to extend my stay.
Concierge- we had to validate our car park coupon. I was waiting in front of the concierge for a while. A lady who looked liked the front desk manager took a look at us and walked away, not asking if we need any help. Another example of the hotel staff lacking initiative.
