Worst motel stay
Do not stay here!
We checked in late in the evening and got into our room. Took off shoes at the door as you do. Upon unpacking and settling in we noticed animal hair on the beds and very dirty floors. My wife’s socks were completely covered in animal hair and dirt. We called up to the front desk to ask for a broom to sweep up. A broom was brought and they watched as we swept.
The owner called down a few moments later and said the room must have been missed by the cleaner and that they had another clean room they could move us to.
Owner came to our room to help move us to the new space.
We got into our new room and settled in again. At this point it’s after 9pm. We have a small child and it was way past bedtime so we tried to unpack quickly and get settled. In the hustle and bustle of switching rooms and settling back in, we noticed the same issue with the floors. They were absolutely filthy and hair all over our socks again. This second room had leftover food remnants in the fridge that we found. We called to advise the office but decided to stay because it was so late. Owner said he would figure a way to do some kind of refund.
Next morning we dropped off the key to check out and they did give us a full refund.
The owner apologized & said they’re new owners.
The cleaner was also there and was very prickly. Said she cleaned both rooms and she’ll argue that all day as though insinuating we made up the complaints.
Thankful for the refund but wouldn’t stay here again!
