Normal i never leave bad reviews but My wife was eaten badly by bed bugs at this lodge saturday night. When i called front desk to tell them about the infestation, we did not even get a simple sorry!!! Just a I will let manager know. Horrible !!!

Zero amenities, but close to sights
The room was so outdated. Paint chipping, curtains with holes, no refrigerator to store snacks or drinks, cracked bathroom tiles and a shower you don’t really want to use, vending machine was out of water and they didn’t have any water bottles to pass out, no continental breakfast though it’s advertised on their page. I had a 2 year old with me and couldn’t keep any cool drinks and had to keep tossing out leftovers with no fridge to keep them. The only plus is you’re central to the sights. But boy, for over $200/night they’re certainly gouging for the quality you get.

Clean but overpriced.
One day overnight to attend an event at the nearby Cachuma lake. Check was uneventful. , Our room was clean but we were disappointed in the overall worn out condition of the exterior of the property. The site also listed complmentary continetal breakfast which was not available on the day we stayed. We thought it was overpriced for what we expected and experienced.

What a shame
Location is great. That’s about it. For a hotel who is getting around 200K plus per weekend, it was not in in the best of condition. Raw aged ply wood as your walkway up stairs, hints of unfinished repairs all throughout. Once getting into the room we thought oh this isn’t so bad, we were wrong. The bed sheets looked oily and old with hair found on them. The carpet while it did add character to decor was soiled all throughout. You were slipping and sliding on the toilet seat. Alas the finale was the guests on top of our room had from what it sounded like half a dozen in one room. Took the noise till about 1 am used the phone it the room to call into the office finding no answer. Went down to the office and it was closed. Thankfully there was a number to call which was what I immediately did. Upon calling someone did answer and instead of being being told which would make sense, I was told to wait a few minutes and they will call the room soon. This was not what I expected. There are certain things that do require immediate action, I believe this was one of them. I got back to my room and still heard them yelling as if it was day time. I know I was not the only one that was affected by this rudeness. But I will speak up. This soured my experience as well as reason for trip. What a shame

This lodge is definitely outdated and could be cleaner (e.g. carpet/wall stains and a super loud a/c unit). There’s a bit of odd furniture here and there, like two random TV chairs, an inactive fireplace, and 3 sinks but honestly it was kind of night having a “vanity” with a sink. The saving grace was the shower which appeared like it would be terrible, but actually wasn’t. The water pressure was strong and temperature was easy to control. The floor mat was cushy and nice. Made for a nice shower after walking about Solvang. You get what you pay for and is standard for one night near the shops.
