Overall it was a wonderful stay
Overall my stay was everything I could've wanted or needed. Breakfast was amazing, the pool area was great, and the service was - almost- impeccable. Pierre was above and beyond at check-in and other interactions I had with him such as asking for directions, etc. Aaron, however, does not need to be working in the hospitality industry. I came down to look into extending my stay an extra day and- I am not exaggerating - took over 20 min scrolling through his computer trying to find what the rate would be for the extra day. Eventually he gave up, told me he couldn't find it and to just go ahead and book it through hotels.com. I explained that I wanted to keep my same room and would prefer to book it at the front desk and he told me I'd have to ask the lady working next to him. Meanwhile the line had grown to 5+ people waiting to check-in and I had to wait all over again to speak to the other person working front desk. While waiting , I overheard him tell the next people they'd have to wait for their room even though it was past checkin time and didn't offer them any explanation and just ignored their concerns. In less than 5 minutes she gave me the rate and reserved the extra night. Aaron did not apologize or act like he cared at all about my time, or the long line of people waiting behind me and honestly seemed annoyed to even have to do any work. I have worked in retail management for over 15 years so I will never give anyone a bad review unless they truly deserve it.
