If you're planning a bit of sightseeing, head to Parque Central – just one of the monuments located 26.3 mi (42.3 km) from the centre of Managua. You could also start your cultural experience by heading over to the cathedral in the area.
You can spend time exploring the galleries in Mansion de Chocolate Museum during your trip to Granada. You can seek out the local tours while in the area.
Wander cobblestone streets lined with colourful colonial buildings, pausing to admire the majestic cathedral in the central plaza. Climb the bell tower of La Merced Church for panoramic views, then cool off with a boat tour of Las Isletas in Lake Nicaragua.

The street market was quite the experience! It is a maze! The boat tour was really neat. Walked up the narrow circle staircase of La Merced Church for wonderful 360 views. People are all very nice. Almost always received a smile and a greeting back.

Welcoming people. Go to Garden cafe. Very accessible to all amenities. Lots to do. Diverse range of quality restaurants. Evening entertainment on the streets. You must do the mentalist show, the night visit to volcano Masaya, and crater swim.

Granada is a very nice colonial city with a lot of historical buildings, but the prices can get very high and the people expect us to pay considerably more more than locals

So much to do in Granada. It is an amazing community with so much to do. Definitely one of our top cities to visit again.
"Amazing experience. Beautiful hotel that is walkable to many touristy spots. Breakfast is to order and was good. The mattress was the only thing that was a little uncomfortable, but aside from that everything was perfect!!"
"We were grateful to stay in this location. It quiet and tucked away from the outside world. We were lucky enough to spend two nights here. The lady at the front desk was so kind and helpful with us and our Spanglish. She was happy to use google translate to make sure our needs were met. "
"If you love Colonial arquitectura with a family feeling.. this is the place! The staff was super helpful and friendly, I can’t say enough of Carlos, he’s awesome."
"Only a few blocks from some of the main attractions of the city. Very nice facilities. Beautifully done remodel of an old historical building. We really enjoyed our stay. Off street secured parking. On our first morning after arriving, we woke up to a flat tire. The staff immediately came out and helped us change it. Didn’t even have to ask."
