"Although it was not easy to drive to the resort from Dar es Salaam (especially with our RAV4), our family had a wonderful stay there and is definitely willing to go back there. "Nice place, the hotel wasn't that old, but hasn't been updated or kept up as much as it should. Water stains, some outlets not working. I was disappointed there was no beach access at the Tanga Beach Resort. The food and staff were great. "

"The hotel is not glamorous and amenity wise it is what you would expect of a midrange hotel. However it has a perfect location right on the beach and easy access to local tours and attractions. It is very clean and well maintained.
The hotel staff were so wonderful and accommodating. They made such a good effort to make a personal connection with me and as a woman traveling by myself they made me feel so safe.

is not much to choose from, and is not the reason to pick this hotel. We upgraded to seaview room, witch was very nice with the terrasse right over the sea. they say all romm is sea view witch is correct in a way, as you can see the sea, but the lower cost rooms is having the sundeck to view over before you see the sea. but not a bad choice. i would stay there again"
