The hotel offers a decent meal, but if you like something else you can drive to Stykkishólmur (20 min) or near Kirkjufell (30 min). We have been lucky to witness the Aurora Borealis at a cloudless night. The 'Hello Aurora' app was supportive. Very friendly host, couple to welcome you overhere.

Very friendly staff. We arrived at 8:50pm and they still offered us dinner from the restaurant, which closes at 9pm. A little interesting to get to, which involved some rough gravel roads up a small hill.

It was a country guest house. Felt like I was really seeing the la escape and the people. Down a long dirt road off of another gravel road. Stellar views. Peaceful quiet but only 13 km from town where there were dining options other than the onsite restaurant. Would recommend for sure

This was such a beautiful and quaint place to stay during our trip! The owner was amazing, doing everything from check in to services to waiting tables. You can tell they take a lot of price in running this hotel and their hard work pays off! Everything was very tidy and the space was quiet and relaxing. The food was amazing, and the views are great too. They also have laundry facilities for a fee, which is super helpful!

Wonderful getaway, but no where near Stykkyslhomur as advertised. In fact, quite a distance and very hard to find, especially using GPS for the name of the hotel.
