Clean VERY BASIC room. Bed mattress was only about 15 inches up from the floor and the main electric outlet was about 3" above mattress at head of bed. So it was verv difficult not to hit it with your pillow or head while in bed. Room light and anything else near the bed needed to be plugged into that outlet unless you used the long extension cord (provided) with 1 inlet, that could be stretched from under the cement sink plug to bed area. This would not be a legal safe outlet in USA. This is about 3 blocks from the downtown tourist stores. There is a VERY TASTY Bar-B-Q restaurant/take away about a 1.2 block away, but it is only open 6-9 Fri., Sat. & Sunday..

Needing just a one-night transitional stay
We had the hardest time finding this small hotel - drove up and down the street and finally had to ask someone. When we finally arrived, there was no office and no one to get checked in with. Had do go across the street to the bar, and someone called for us (we had no cell service). The hotel is older with no updating and just the very basics (although there was a small kitchenette). The bathroom was SO small that you couldn't sit on the toilet without your knees touching the wall - and I am only 5' 5"! The mirror over the sink was so small - couldn't see a thing to put makeup on. Thankfully, this was just a transition stay until we could get in to our condo unit the next day, but it was not a great way to start our Bonaire vacation.

Is dirty and no one to complain too. No soap, two small towels, no toilet tissue, no hot water just to say a few.

Good Low-Budget Option with a Few Quirks
This is a budget accommodation that offers decent value. It is basic with a few quirks but if you're looking for an inexpensive place on Bonaire, it'll do. It was clean and there is a kitchenette with a double hot plate, small fridge, and sink plus the basics of kitchenware. There's no coffee maker or toaster. The space was a bit cramped but for the price, very reasonable. Cold showers, of course. The bedroom has no windows but it does have a small TV and decent AC. They ask you to only run the AC for 8 hours at night and have an option to pay more if you want to run it during the day. My biggest complaint about the place is that there is no reception so you have to have a phone to communicate with them. They say that they offer airport pick up but when we requested it, they said just take a taxi from the airport - it's the same price (which is true but definitely not convenient as there weren't any taxis just hanging around). Also, we told them what time we would arrive but nobody was there when we go there. We managed to get online and message them (we didn't have SIM card for our phone) and then had to wait 30 mins for her to arrive. Then, we had to prove that we'd pre-paid because her records showed we still owed money. Once that was all settled, the stay was uneventful and they even allowed us a late check out (for a fee). She was very friendly just not super organized. Overall, good location & good value for money but only if you are used to BUDGET accommodations.

The apartment was large, clean, had basic necessities. Comfortable bed! The owner quickly responded to needs . The owner also has many things you may need for vacationing available for rent-beach towels, chairs, bikes and more! Remember this is not a luxury apartment but I believe you get more than what you paid for ! Remember outside of luxury resorts hot water on Bonaire may not exist. Only the bedroom is air conditioned ... but we were there to dive and sleep! Location is perfect... easy stroll to the ocean and town . Easy to get in and out to head to dive sites!

More than fair for the price
The accomodation was good for the price. My taxi driver suggested that with a late arrival, there would be no one waiting for me. However, I had managed to send a message with the revised flight times and I was met without problems. My flight out at the end of the stay was mid-afternoon. Although check out time was set at 11 a.m, no one appeared to check me out. They have a key box for self check out. The manageress did arrive just before I intended to leave, and was quite happy with my delayed departure. She even called the taxi when I was ready. The accomodation was basic, even though the room is not small. A desk or table would be a good idea. I spent a lot of the time when in the room sitting on the bed with my laptop on the chair. There are tables outside, but even if you find one in the shade, the humidity made working impossible. Simple cooking facilities are provided. There is a bathroom and shower. No hot water, which appears to be common in ABC Islands, even for moderate hotels (where they exist). The accomodation is on a main road, but there is not a lot of noise, and no problem at night. The street here has only a gravel sidewalk, which has puddles and is muddy after rain. When you walk towards town a little, you soon get to proper paving. City Inn is around a 15 minute walk from the centre, where shops, restaurants and cafes can be found. Before you arrive, you pass other business which rent out motor scooters and organise diving and similar activities.

Great place great people
The room we had was big and comfortable with separate kitchen and bedroom. The people that work there are just AMAZING. They had so much knowledge about the island and helped us rent a scooter. The kitchen had everything we needed and a table with two chairs. Would absolutely stay there again

Wonderful management!!!
Well of course keep in mind that this is affordable accommodation for bonaire. There are a few small comforts that the new management team are working on such as furniture etc. The air con is great, location convenient and I can not express how amazing Petra and marco are.... I would return for them alone!! They made my stay so memorable!

Awesome management!!!
Well of course you need to realize when you book that this is budget accommodation. So don’t expect toiletries or a HOT shower. Let me tell you though, Petra and Marco went above and beyond for me in several unforgettable ways. I would come back for their amazing service and hospitality in a heartbeat!! Great aircon and cable and after dining out for 2 weeks prior, I really enjoyed having cooking facilities ( just hotplate and a kettle.... but trust me , you can get creative!!). Wifi is great and just a few mins to all the shops and restaurants !

For that kind of price of $45.00 that was paid, you can not expect so much. The air condition was noisy, there was no staff around. For one night stay, maybe it is acceptable. We have to be realistic is is an Inn not an hotel so.....
