I had to call the number on the door to get a staff member to let me in so upon check-in. Not a big deal for me though. The lady at the desk was super friendly.
We asked to rent a cot, since we’re a family of 6, but the only available option they had was an old camping camo cot. My husband slept on it and as sore and in pain the entire next day.
The kitchen floors were sticky, the carpet was filthy and crunchy, there were pee splatters on the back of the bathroom door, the counters had marks and water spots on them (clearly they weren’t wiped down properly before we got there.) the bedding was definitely not washed before our stay as well. The TV had these annoying ads that kept popping up during our movie. There were only 2 towels available and when I called the front desk to get more, nobody answered.
All that being said, I feel bad writing this review, only bwcause the lady who helped us was quite friendly (I suspect she was the owner?). But the level of cleanliness (or lack thereof) needs to be addressed. My in-laws live in Athabasca, so we come here often. I will never book back in here again. This was hands down the filthiest motel I’ve ever stayed in.
