4/10 Fair

No working heater in the room and this was in October. By the time I figured this out, it was 10 PM. I called their front desk, no one answered. The next day I was told they could bring me a space heater, that “Not all guests want a heater”. 5 foot log pillow that can’t ever be washed and people probably put on the floor was laying against the pillows of the bed, gross. Pillows were hard and made my neck ache. Trash was strewn around outside trash cans, probably by wildlife. When I checked in, the front desk person had a full conversation with their housekeeper about which rooms to clean while they made me wait. I would not stay here again.

6/10 Good

The good: Helpful front desk person, clean comfortable bed, generally clean room, property has some nice stonework. Not so good: the furnishings in the room (chairs, nightstands, tables) were low quality/condition, the room itself was in need of basic maintenance (missing trim, one light was out, switch plates broken, exposed/loose wires for TV, etc.). The exterior of the property was also in need of maintenance (peeling paint, loose deck boards, old chairs, etc.). Cute look though and could be really nice with some work.

The location was great.

6/10 Good

The room was clean, a few spiders and webs. It was a bit of a hassle checking out, even though room had been prepaid. They had new ownership since reservation was booked but that should not have affected us or time spent waiting.

4/10 Fair

The room smelled like stale cigarettes, the bed sheets had cigarette burns in them, the refrigerator was broken, there were no towels in the room (I had to ask for them from the front desk), one of the windows was missing a curtain, and the wifi only seemed to work near the lobby building. The room was clean, the lights worked, and the plumbing worked.

Really great and attentive staff. It’s definitely a rustic stay but isn’t that why we go to the mountains in the first place?

Very cute, awesome staff. There are some areas that were a little dated, but it was very charming overall. It felt more comfortable than most hotels, and the fireplace was amazing.

Check in and out smoothly. Beds were so small for 2 adults on one bed. The sofa was too old. Easy to find this hotel and just 4 minutes to lake arrowhead village.
