We had a great stay here with our baby in one of the safari tents. We loved the pool and the restaurant served tasty food. Safari tent was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Some nice walks around the property (watch out for the crocs). Unfortunately couldn’t go on water tours as our baby is too young.

we stayed in a bay view safari tent. Generally it was very comfortable and the view was great. The furnishings are pretty basic and quite old. Bed was comfortable. The camp kitchen and surrounds were good and clean. At the homestead the facilities including the restaurant were fine. Restaurant food was good. Pearl farm tour was fun and factual but the highlight of the trip was the day cruise from Cygnet Bay to the horizontal falls. Spectacular!

6/10 Good

We stayed in one of the Safari tents which were very comfortable and spacious for 2 people. Problem one is the size of the pool for a site shared by at least 3 dozen individual tents and campsites. 3 sun loungers, a 6 metre bench and a 2 seater chair are all the seating that's available. The pool itself is about 3x5 metres. Problem two is the menu choice at the restaurant, very limited if you are staying for more than 2 nights.

A beautiful place and friendly staff! But can’t lock your little house/tent from the outside and WiFi would only work at the reception.

4/10 Fair

We were not aware that our safari tent had no air con in 40 degree heat. The camp kitchen facilities appeared to be inoperable and due to staffing issues the dining options were very limited. One of our main reasons for our stay was to visit Cape Leveque and we found when we arrived that it was not possible to even turn down the newly upgraded road to the Cape. Very disappointing.

Sitting in the dining room at the table next to window dead flys on the sill. So imagined what the kitchen was like.

Enjoyable isolation
Cygnet Bay has a terrific range of accommodation for holiday makers who enjoy north west isolation - own tents, own caravans, tents onsite or safari tents (on a raised platform with ensuite). This is what we enjoyed. Very comfy king bed, clean ensuite, wooden slat floor boards and a balcony. The upright fan was a necessity on an August afternoon - hot!! No air con. But, lots of bird life, lizards, glorious turquoise sea. We loved the waterfall trip into Talbot reef as the low tide rushed out - viewed the peak farm and islands galore. The restaurant has air con but the view and puff of breeze from the balcony meant we loved breakfast and dinner there - although a bit of a sandy walk too and fro. Wonderful fun for three nights!! (And only Telstra - and I have Optus - real isolation!)

The remote location and beautiful surrounds make this a must stay location. Staff is very friendly and restaurant is amazing. You must have a 4WD to get to your accommodation. We had ti do the 1km walk every time which was not so fun in the dark.

Pleasant stay
We stayed in the rainforest tent which was very pleasant. It had a queen bed and ensuite facilities but unfortunately no fridge. We were advised that fridges will be added to this tent type in future. The tent was approx 1 km from the restaurant but it was easy to walk or drive to get to the main hub. There was a beautiful pool at the main site and food was good. We went on the giant tides tour and the waterfall reef tour, both were excellent.

Staff and service were great. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help. Pool was amazing and so were the food at the restaurant. Accomodation in safari tent was basic and that’s what made it better. It really allowed us to be back in the nature. We loved our stay and seeing passionate people working hard. We have been recommending to others and would love to visit again soon.
