Set in a lovely village with nice riverside walks
A lovely hotel with good facilities ,the only problem we had was access to our room we expected lift facility to our room but my wife had to climb a set of stairs to access the lift to our room(356) otherwise all was good.

Good value hotel
Basic but comfortable room. Main problem was noise from adjoining rooms. Not solid walls so could hear TV, talking etc, very annoying late at night. The older more solid part of hotel was fully booked, therefore were in the newer area. However, the hotel is extremely good value and an exellent breakfast was included in the price. Lierganes is lovely village situated near Cantabrian mountains and also only a short drive to coast

Termas de Liérganes
Toen we aankwamen wisten we niet goed wat we met dit hotel aanmoesten; we konden het hotel niet vinden, daarna konden we nergens onze auto kwijt en het personeel sprak geen Engels, al waren ze wel behulpzaam. Het hotel doet een beetje aan als een houten kabinet kast. De kamers zijn prima; er is alles wat je nodig hebt en een goede douche. Verder is er redelijke wifi en een lekker zwembad. We moesten formulieren over onze gezondheid invullen voor de spa. Het leek me echter nogal onzinnig om zulke privégevoelige informatie te geven voor hetgeen we verwachtten van een spa. Bij het invullen begonnen we ons dus al lachend af te vragen wat voor dingen ze voor ons in petto hadden. Uiteraard was de spa niet zo spannend als we hadden verwacht. Ook hier sprak echter niemand Engels, en omdat het personeel in witte verpleegsterstenues liepen, aantekeningen maakten op hun clipboards en in en uit geheimzinnige kamertjes liepen, begon het verdacht veel als een inrichting te voelen. We lieten het maar over ons heenkomen, en wachtten rustig af tot we door een 'zuster' werden meegenomen naar zo een kamertje. We werden met een klein groepje losgelaten in een klein zwembad met jetstreams voor de spieren en een een zoutbad waarin rustig gedobberd kon worden. Heerlijk! Al met al was het een fijn verblijf in dit hotel, ondanks de taalbarrière heeft het personeel echt hun best voor ons gedaan en was de spa ontspannend. Uiteindelijk is dat onverwachte ook wel weer een leuke verrassing ;)
