Our go-to Hotel in Belo Horizonte
My wife and I have stayed at the Radisson Blu Belo Horizonte Savassi twice in the past 10 months and both times the hotel has exceeded our expectations. Great location with clean, quiet, comfortable rooms with nice views of the city in all directions. The breakfast is excellent with a great selection of fresh breads, fruits, juices, coffees, and many other local favorites. We have visited Belo Horizonte hundreds of times over the past 40 years and stayed at many different hotels. The Radisson Blu is the best we have found and is now our go-to hotel whenever we are in Belo Horizonte.

House keeping kept interrupted me every day. We agreed on a time they would make up the room but house keeping didn’t get the memo. They moved me to a different room where the TV and Internet would not work. This is the second time i have stayed at this hotel and both times it has been a nightmare! It’s a really nice hotel with a great restaurant but the experience sucks! How can a place this nice be so poorly run! It’s unreal! I reached out to Hotels.com and for nothing but attitude! No help just a bunch of BS! I will never book this hotel nor will I ever use hotels.com again! This entire trip was. Nightmare because of how poorly hotels.com is when

It’s not what you say but how you say it
The staff is very friendly. The food in the restaurant is really good too. I had an issue with key cards 17 times. When I spoke to the GM I got a dismissive apology. It really soured me on this hotel. Location is good. Very walkable area and a shopping mall across the street. They do speak English but not all the staff is bilingual. Had I not been locked out of my room and the elevator 17 times it would have been different. I think I would have liked it a lot more.

Good hotel in Savassi area, 15 min walk from Praca da Liberdade, de facto central square. Savassi is a lively area with good dining and shopping options. It looks the hotel is one of the best in the town. Unlike Sao Paulo or Rio, Belo Horizonte is a mining capital, i.e. no upscale hotels there. Personally, I enjoyed interactions with the great people of the mining state Minas Gerais and its capital Belo Horizonte. Do visit a nice historical town Ouro Preto, UNESCO World Heritage site, 2 hours drive from the city. Back to the hotel - rooms are standard ones, clean and simple. Standard breakfast. Small gym and sauna, no swimming pool. Windows cannot be opened so air and temperature regulations could be done only through air conditioning. Reception team and other staff members are very helpful. Special thanks to Guilherme, provided good advice on almost everything, and surprisingly speaks English with British accent, unusual and pleasantly surprising. Overall, good stay at the hotel. Thanks.
