An older property that's well maintained, the El Aurassi has unparalleled views of the harbor and city. Staff are attentive, multi-lingual and food is good. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff stopped by throughout the day to refresh supplies. Shower is an inconvenient setup that allows water to pool on floor. Would definitely stay longer next time.

Die langweile hat ein Name, El Aurassi

Das Zimmer und die Sicht vom Balkon ist 5* würdig, alles andere ist schlecht, Unprofessionalität hat dort ein Name, erstens haben sie meine Reservierung nicht gefunden, erst danach mit Schwierigkeiten. Das Hotel ist wie ein Bunker, es strahlt keine Sicherheit, überall Kontrollen vom Polizei und Sicherheitdienste, wie im Krieg, drinnen fehlt ein bisschen leben. Um in Zentrum zu landen braucht man unbedingt eine Taxi, nicht von Vorteil wenn man schnell das Hotel verlassen will um kleine Erledigungen zu machen. Langweilig

The security in the hotel is quite good and I think is what you are paying top dollar for. It is not in the best location for waking, but if you want to stay on site, it works. Don’t bother hanging a do not disturb sign on the door because the ignore it and walk in anyway.

The trip went absolutely well. teh people at teh hotel are courteous and helpfull. I had a minor problem with a security person who 'used the ' tu' and shouted at me in front of everyone in the lobbying because i refused to hand over the sandwich i bough outside. at 150 € a night in Algeria , after spending meals at teh restaurant and took all my breakfast I belive I was allowed to get a sandwich form a corner shop and enjoy it in my bedroom. Apart from the Mr national security who thought he belonged to the DRS the hotel was perfect.

excellent and pathetic

Well my heart is divided. The staff has been very helpfull and nice but here are the bad points: 1)trouble with the airport shuttle despite booking it. ( but life went on). 2)I tried going to the swimming pool on friday afternoon and I had to come back after waiting for 15 mns for a bed and nothing came towards me. i was transparent despite asking 4 times. 3) the breakfast is pretty expensive and this morning friday there was no cooked breakfast the 8 dishes were empty. 4) And the main problem came tonight. I have been now travelling around the world for the last 30 years and stayed in all type of hotels from basic one to 5 stars lodges in Africa or in south america. Everywhere i go i always get 2 meals outside trying in my humble manner to make the business work around the cities i stayed; tonight was no exception.When i walked back into the hotel the security guard started 'tutiement' tu nas pas le droit de rentrer de la nouriture dans l hotel mets le la bas ' ...I have never been treated this way even in basic hotel like campanile in france .. We had an argument and the guy wanted a punch up . We are in a 5 star hotel ! We were shouting at each other in the centre of the lobbying and as im not a guy to take it down and responded to any threats he addressed to me. simply amazing ! I am not so keen to be called sir , even hate it pretty much but between being call sir and being tutoyer and insulted there s a limit.! I shall make a formal complaint.

La posizione , l'eccezionale vista , i ristoranti , la piscina , gentilezza. Unica nota molto negativa : la nostra prenotazione comprendeva il servizio navetta x l'aereoporto , ma quando lo abbiamo chioesto per le 7 del mattino , ci è stato risposto che la navetta c'era alle 6 o alle 8 : questo secondo me non è un servizio navetta.
