We absolutely loved staying at The Barbican Hotel. It’s in a great location, near the beach and town. We were greeted so kindly and looked after so well. Our room was fresh and bright, very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was wonderful! Well cooked and presented! I can honestly say, we couldn’t have chosen a better guest house! Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and welcoming!

After travelling on a much earlier train than originally booked, due to the hot weather, we were in Paignton alot earlier than we planned and had to wait a few more hours before checking in, Emma and Alan were very accommodating in letting us leave our suitcase with them before checking in, which was a huge help. They were very knowledgeable on the local area, and there were alot of information leaflets available to guests too. We had soft drinks and snacks that were available 24/7, payment was by an honesty box, which we found helpful. Emma and Alan also provided free of charge, buckets and spades /camping chairs and umbrellas. The fresh full English breakfast was delicious and piping hot too, continental breakfast on day 2 of our stay was just as nice We would definately be coming back to this lovely B&B and took plenty of business cards to pass onto family and friends This is situated just in the right place in Paignton, walking distance to all amenities, and 6 minute walk to the train and bus stations

Such a comfortable and friendly hotel with excellent service from the proprietors. Breakfast was perfectly cooked to order in a well laid out dining room. Our room was small but very comfortable and clean with tv and tea & coffee facilities, The en-suite shower room was clean with all facilities required including complimentary shampoos, soaps and shower gels and the shower was a pleasure to use, one of the best showers we have experienced in hotels. The hotels wifi was very good with a strong signal. I particularly liked the nice touch of an honesty shop in the dining room/small shop and the supply of free books to read and children's beach toys. We were made to feel very welcome and will happily recommend this hotel to friends and family. This hotel is ideally situated being close to the beach with a very good selection and variety of restaurants within walking distance. The pier is free with the usual stalls and amusements plus a dinosaur crazy golf at the end. The beach is long and sandy. There is a trackless train that runs along the coast, a fair, a children's park and other family facilities. The only downside is parking near the hotel. We went out of season but still had to park two roads away on one occasion so it could be a problem during high season.
