Purdy Lodge

Purdy Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"The property was handily placed adjacent to a petrol station and right next to the A1 BUT at no time was there any fuel smell or any noise from both it and the busy main road! All the staff were friendly, helpful & professional. The room, facilities, corridors & common spaces were very clean and tidy! Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and dinner well priced! The bar area was clean and tidy and well stocked with all manner of drinks! Checking in & out were extremely well managed and far superior to similar establishments in the area!"

"The Dock Hotel is a pub, a working man's pub, which has been converted into a very nice and very comfortable hotel. The staff were very helpful and really friendly. My room was excellent. Spotlessly clean and comfortable too. Highly recommended, with a real piece of North East charm."

"I wasn’t sure the house was right but the post code takes you to the door! The original picture shows a White House but it isn’t white anymore. The room was a single but still I had a full bathroom to myself attached, a fridge and tea coffee stuffs so was very happy. It is so quiet out there but it’s still not far from main towns. Vanessa is a very nice host. I will definitely stay here again 🤗"

"Couldn’t recommend The Tenpus at Charlton Hall more! We stayed in one of the lakeside lodges and had such a lovely relaxing time. We had planned to eat at the Lobster Pot in Bamburgh but lucky for us they were a chef down and couldn’t accommodate us so we ate in the Tempus restaurant which was outstanding. I didn’t catch our servers name but he was so friendly and made us very welcome. Food was delicious. Can’t wait to book again… absolutely loved everything about our visit."
