Nice updated modern rooms with a taste of the past history of the school reflected in unique ways.

I loved the idea of the renovation of an old school into a boutique hotel. The hotel was hip and high tech. Would definitely stay there again if I was back in the area.

This Hotel is a hidden gem in White Sulphur. The transformation of a school into a hotel was done very well and the property is amazing!

Would stay here again! Loved the historical parts and that they kept the theming. Loved the ADA accessibility and all of the staff was fantastic!

The property was well-maintained, ADA friendly, clean, professional staff, “smart Home” wired, modern technology, modern amenities. Remodeled from an old high school with modern interior design w nostalgic memorabilia from the original school days! Nice restaurant/bar open late!! Highly recommended!!

Incredible hotel. Super accessible. Every hotel should have a bidet and all of the other tech available in this hotel. We will return.

10/10 Exceptional

This property is very nice, lots of special accommodations that i have never seen before. The old school has some memorabilia from the school placed throughout. The Expedia listing said no charge for pets but the online registration and the desk person said it was $50. I picked it based on the free pet, and after speaking with the owners they did not charge me. (They were very friendly) We enjoyed the rooftop bar and would recommend the hotel to anyone.
S Jolene, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Super weird. They put a massive additional charge on my card and couldn't explain why. Wouldn't recommend.
Anthony, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Love the idea of using an outdated high-school and turning it into a hotel. Nicely decorated. If your an IT person you ll like the smart tech. We just wanted a lamp so we could dim the lights.
Tori, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice hotel, but two issues. The WiFi was nonfunctional. Also, I paid through Expedia but the hotel charged me as well, so now I'm working to get the charge removed.
Jim, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very unique. Comfortable. Rooftop bar was nice. Would prefer a shower door or curtain, rather than a wide opening. And brighter light over the bathroom sink. And a coffee maker in the room would be a great plus since breakfast starts late, at 9am.
Marlene, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Half baked concept. Loads of unnecessary tech but no closets, or desk or in room fridge. Very limited food service. The people were fantastic. The concept just doesn’t perform.
Timothy, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Schizophrenic remodeling philosophy. No expense spared on materials and style yet lacking essentials. A high tech toilet with 15 buttons that flushes before you’re done in the middle of the night, waking your wife. Alexa listening to every word yet not able to actually change the drapes, lighting, or TV set. No closet to hang your clothes. No iron, no ironing board, no fridge for your leftovers or microwave to reheat them. You can hear people walking on the upper floors. A decidedly unsuccessful experiment for Wyndham.
James, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Clean, but horrible design choices.

Rooms need closets, not a couple bars next to the TV. The phone needs to be next to the bed, not across the room on the wall. The shower needs a door or curtain to keep the warm air in. There was not enough counter space in the bathroom even though the bathroom was large. Counter space was wasted because things that should have been on a shelf weren't (no shelves). Having extra control of the light level was nice, but the night light level was too bright. The beds were practically on the floor. It was nice nit to need a step ladder like some hotels, but going the other way is just as bad.
Theron, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff seemed very friendly. The room was clean which is my top priority. The reason for my low score is because the hotel overcharged me. Upon booking I elected to pay the full fee at the hotel. Two weeks after booking the hotel charged me $145 without notice and when confronted said it was their policy to charge a one night fee for a deposit. That left me with a balance of $291 to be paid upon arrival. The week before I was to arrive the hotel charged me $391, taking it out of my bank account without notice. After arriving the hotel reversed the $391 charge but immediately recharged it. Then at checkout I was told the system would charge me $291 but they gave me a credit of $291 to offset it. That means they still owe me $100. After getting home I checked my bank account and saw that again there was another $391 charge! I was livid and called them about it. A credit of $391 was made back to my bank but still I have paid $100 more than I should. If you book with this hotel please keep an eye on your banking account. If their accounting had not been so shady this could have been a 5 plus star hotel.
Melanie, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The room was clean, but the thing that stood out was the attention given to us by the staff. They were always friendly asking if everything was great and was there anything we needed we would definitely stay there again.

Great renovation! We loved our room and enjoyed 2 sunsets from the rooftop bar. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent!
Scott, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I booked a Queen via Expedia however it was definately a Full. That was a minor detail in a wonderful hotel. Completely AMA compliant in every room. Very clean, fresh and modern. A converted middle school. The roof top bar was wonderful with a 4-6 happy hour and beautiful views. We only had bar snacks but the restaurant looked really nice.
