Bed bugs.
All was fair except.. I found empty beer bottle and caps under the bed, mold in the bathroom. And bed bugs crawling on my luggage at checkout time. Only offered 50% off next stay.. no thank you. Won’t be staying there again.

Awesome staff that take pride in their property
Very nice room, and accommodations were satisfactory. The staff was pleasant and friendly, of which is a change from some other places that I have stayed. Lady thatbooked me in explained everything in detail, and also informed me of the expected timeframe for receiving my deposit back, that was also a first and greatly appreciated since sometimes it could take several days leaving one to wonder if they got robbed or not at the Samir, all that was explained. Nice deep bathtub, spacious bathroom, complimentary coffee, and coffee maker, cable, with a modern Tv that functiined. Wifi that didn't lag or slow. Only issue was the vending machine didn't take dollars, however the next morning the staff was on it and got that issue resolved. I think the Samir is a great hotel, affordable and maybe overlooked being the location is far north of Hotel/Motel row along Meridian and MacArthur. Thumbs up, Samir. I will be staying there more often.

The room was reserved for 3 nights, room/bathroom clean. The staff were friendly The room had condition problems. The window was cracked and I reported it to front desk. They answered that it would be replaced the next day but never replaced. The A/C unit was a bit dirty and didn’t cool well. The sink was cracked and the hair dryer didn’t work. The breakfast was okay but had no peanut butter or yogurt that is normal with Continental style.

Hotel was clean, quiet, average amenities. There were a couple of people rummaging through the garbage bin outside the hotel in the parking area. The room deposit of $100 cash is rather high but is refunded upon check out. Hotel.com did not make us aware of the required deposit at online booking.

I wasn't very satisfied with our room. I paid for 2 Queen beds, but when we got to our room there were only standard full size beds. I asked the clerk if she could give us the room we paid for and she said she couldn't. I asked for a discount on our room and she tefused to accommodate. We had 2adults and 2 teens trying to sleep comfortable on a full size bed. Other than that, the breakfast was good.
