We were in Paros and stayed at a 5 star hotel. We then came here and what a difference! This should be a 10 star hotel! The hotel staff cares about their guests and it shows. It is family owned and is so convenient! The bus station is at the corner of the hotel which takes you into town or the beach. The espresso martini we had at the bar was amazing! The pool was amazing! The room was amazing! We will be staying here every time we come back to Ios. Thank you staff!!

EXCELLENT! Do not hesitate!!
Hotel was just a few minute walk from the port, very impressive first impression when we walked up to check in and saw the pool area! Check in was quick and easy, gave us welcoming homemade lemonade. Everyone was super friendly and helpful! Breakfast buffet every morning was amazing! So many choices and was all delicious! Room was super cute and had a patio with pool view. Only two things I would mention would be the water from the sink and shower are noticeably salt water and the bed is on the upper level which is noticeably hotter (even with the A/C on) however they did have a circulating fan up there to move air, also very steep stairs to get to. Didn’t bother me, just something to mention. Also allowed us to store our luggage and use the pool for several hours after checkout until we had to catch the ferry. Overall, 10/10 stay!!

A wonderful 4 night stay at the Yialos IOS. We were given such a warm welcome on arrival, the staff are so friendly & helpful. The pool area is immaculate & beautiful to around. Good breakfast options with a small hot selection & pastries available. The room was clean and a decent size with a lovely patio area looking out to the pool. Our only minor niggle was some of the fixtures/fittings are looking a little tired, but this does not affect the stay or cleanliness of the room. Good location near the port if you don’t want the rowdiness of nearby Chora/Myloplatas (easy accessible by bus/taxi) if you do fancy a party. We would definitely return. Thank you Yialos!

This is a very professionally family run hotel. Dimitri, Sophie and Dimitri's parents cannot do enough for you. They want to know that every guest has a positive experience. When i asked if they have gluten free bread, they arranged that it would be available for breakfast each day. The family ensure the hotel is cleaned to the highest standards. This is our second stay at The Yialos hotel. The first time, we stayed in one of the smaller rooms so this year, I booked a bigger room. This of course is about personal choice. The hotel is ideally situated for the port and is a short bus ride into town. It is also close enough to walk to/ from town. They make amazing frozen pina coladas. We will definitely be back.

The owners are super friendly & the place is super nice. The pool is a bonus add on, it's lovely. I would definitely stay here again. The only downfall is if you want to party, the bus doesn't run all night...if you're looking for a party area stay at the top of Chora. This hotel is more for couples. Overall great though :)

Amazing hotel in perfect location
We loved this place. The whole vibe is friendly, chilled, and peaceful. The pool area with the bar and various comfy seating is stunning, while the staff are lovely and very helpful. The pool never feels too busy which adds to the laid back yet unpretentious vibe. The Traditional Studio was beautiful; the decor and overall style are spot on. Just a few minutes walk and you’re on the calm, lovely Yialos beach, with its cute eateries and cafes, and the port where the boat came in from Athens was just a few minutes further on foot. Highly recommended, we’d love to come back.

Cozy hotel, great location, genuine staff!
This hotel and its staff deserve all the praise there is! Dimitris & family is out of their way friendly. The room itself was very neat and cozy and having more amenities than necessary. Great breakfast included and food and drinks for all other times. The service is impeccable, pool area superb and location is splendid with the beach, port and medical center within walking distance, even with a broken foot :') Actively recommending and hoping to return myself! Best place to stay in Ios!
We were blown away by this hotel! The Location was perfect, short walk from the port, beach, and the town center! The room was beautiful and had everything we needed! The pool was amazing, beautiful, clean, and the perfect temperature! There was a great pool bar and plenty of shaded areas. While all of this was great, the best part of our stay was definitely the staff! Hospitality here is top tier. They made us feel so welcome and taken care of. We arrived a little early for our reservation and they stored our luggage and got us drinks at the pool bar. During our stay they gave us helpful suggestions on how to navigate the Island and were so warm and kind. We will definitely be back!

Excellent staff and really amazing breakfast. The breakfast options are mostly home made and delicious cakes, dishes and many options for vegetarian people as well. The location is right next to the ferry port so you can just walk to this hotel once you reach by ferry and there is a bus stop next to the hotel to reach the city centre. The only downside was, the air condition in our room was slow and it took quite some time to get the room temperature cool. Also, the room was less than our expectations but that might be due to we did not check the hotel photos properly. Overall good place to stay for the price.

This is a lovely family hotel with lovely staff. The room was clean and tidy and bed lovely and comfy, it’s a short walk to the harbour. A great location to get to most places. The pool area was nice and the sun-beds are comfy, Overall it’s a lovely boutique hotel. I’m losing it a star because of a couple of reasons, the water in the showers is salt water. It was really annoying for me. I have fine very long hair, and couldn’t get a lather up in my shampoo because of the salt in the water. I had to use bottled water to wash my hair. I would also urge the hotel to offer snacks at the pool bar- things like crisps or chips. They do have a lunch menu but sometimes when you don’t want a full lunch, it would have been nice to have some snack options. There is a supermarket in the harbour but for ease - it would have been good option for an impromptu drink and snack. It would also be great if they offered drink service at your sun-bed by the pool, rather than you having to go to the bar. They could earn so much more money if they did this. Also bear in mind there is no gym available at the hotel. Apart from this evening else was fine. You get a great selection in the morning for breakfast and lunch options are very good and large portions. If I was coming to this island again, I would stay here again.

I recently stayed at Yialos Ios Hotel and had a mixed experience. Initial Room Experience: The initial room was disappointing (traditional economy). It was dark, humid, with yellowed pillows and a barely functional hair dryer. The door would lock with difficulty, and my window faced a junk pile. Insects were coming in from under and around the door frame, making it impossible to sleep for two nights (I was afraid the insects were going to get on the bed). When I reported this, the front desk dismissed my concerns, assuring me the insects wouldn’t harm me. Room Upgrade: I paid for an upgrade, and while the new room was much better, it still had issues like the bathroom bin trash which was left from previous visitors. The room wasn’t ready at the discussed time, which was frustrating as I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my valuables at the front desk (these were work work related devices which provide MFA). Breakfast: The breakfast offerings were underwhelming (I will admit to being picky with food). Safety and Staff Interaction: A positive aspect was the presence of a night guard who helped me feel safe. Positive Aspects: Once I changed rooms, my stay improved. The pool area is fantastic, and having a restaurant on-site was very convenient. Recommendations: I do not suggest staying in the traditional or economy rooms located in the old building. If you stay at Yialos Ios Hotel, book a room in the newer buildings, these are listed as superior and deluxe rooms.

Don't be fooled, photos show best rooms not worst
This place is a sham! We booked it on hotels.com because of the images on the website and location. Upon arrival we were shuffled off to a cramped, old, shell of a room. The aircon was the highlight. Towels old, rough from being over washed, 1 old pillow each, no little touches like decorative pillows, artworks, toiletries apart from soap which was from Yialos?? That's where it all came together. They have two hotels that share a lovely pool. But, as an early 30's couple were blind sided. Petros Palace has the really nice newly renovated rooms in the main building, but when they cant fill Yialos they push people to the old rooms. We were not impressed. I brought this to the attention of the male owner who then proceeded to try to confuse me by asking what room type I booked. He said show me the booking, at which point I could feel the wool being pulled over my eyes and asked him what room types are there. He said we have traditional and standard. I said fine, which is which, he said old rooms are traditional and standard are new. My booking showed standard, he reversed it immediately and said yes, standard is old and new is traditional. This to me is fraudulent as are the images and the way they run two hotels in one. Positives,location is great, pool lovely and its got a nice outdoor vibe. Bar prices are crazy even for Greece, WiFi in rooms is non existent, bathroom was dirty and looked like it was built in the 60's. Breakfast was very basic and certainly nothing special.
