No on-site staff and empty entrance makes the hotel feel like it’s lacking charm or character. The temperature in our room was too high. The bathroom light wasn’t working properly (dim and flickering). The lighting in the bedroom is not good (bedside lights are too bright, no light over sink). The fridge temperature was too low. There wasn’t enough parking on a couple of occasions.

Location is great. We booked a suite and it was perfect for our little family. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to save on meals. It was like having our own little appartement. We loved the huge terrace and the gas fireplace. Parking wasn’t an issue and check in was all done on line. We didn’t enjoy how uncomfortable the beds were or how hot the room was. You couldn’t regulate the temperature so the only option was the open the patio door to cool off the room. The furniture has seen better days but for the rate, it’s nothing surprising. Highly recommend for an affordable location very close to the skill hill.

Well first thing you notice when approaching the hotel is the very minimal amount of parking. Reception at front desk was great. Checkout was painful as no one is at the front desk until 830am. You go to your room outside traversing a crumbling staircase which is not well lit at night. The room was decorated from different eras from the Victorian age to the 80s 90s and 2000s. We were also left with feces in the toilet so obviously no one had cleaned the toilet between stays. Matress and pillows were just ok. We did have a king bed but no sofa. Only other place to sit was a very uncomfortable Victorian style chair. Air conditioner was a portable unit and had been disconnected and stored so room was pretty warm and screen door lock was broken so i couldn't leave the patio door open.

Overall, decent for the money, however rooms are tired and could use an update/refresh. Not sure what was going on, but in my room, there was a terrible humming noise coming on every hour or so, which is pretty annoying.

Decent place
Overall a nice hotel. A little pricey but the room was immaculate. The in room amenities were good and it was very clean. The hotel was booked solid but very quiet. They had a handicapped spot in front of the hotel but they did not have a handicap access button to open the door which was a little odd. The balcony was nice but you couldnt smoke on it. A little weird. You had to go downstairs and there was no real place to sit outdoors. That was annoying. I guess if you are a handicapped smoker stay elsewhere. I am not sure if we would return as there are cheaper and closer options available.

The only frustrating aspect was there is no person to talk to at reception to ask questions. I wanted recommendations like things to do and places to see especially since I’m from Ontario and don’t speak French so I needed a bit of guidance but couldn’t get any. Mostly I wanted to get recommendations for ski season. Ski in ski out was mostly my objective but still we had a great time and would still recommend with a warning there is no person at reception to speak to.

Despite some confusion checking in virtually with no reception desk, the room was lovely and well appointed. The sole issue we had was technical difficulties with the TV. We would recommend it highly and would certainly go again.
