When we arrived at 10.30pm they did not have our booking even though they had sent a msg re a transfer from the airport (not there, had to find our own way to property). Given filthy towels one with rips. The only thing well kept is the pool. Very faded resort with unhelpful staff. Was close to the beach and nice (though expensive seafood restaurants.

Pretty good
Great room, great location (near the airport, a beach, etc). We had some issues with the air conditioning (there wasn’t any), so we slept with the windows open and we had some mosquito issues. But it was still pretty good.

Just a cheap bed - and eat here at your own risk
Dirty, run down, no maintenance, no hot water, rats and lizards roaming around the swimming pool, disgusting basic breakfast.

Worst 'hotel' I've been in.
Filthy, shabby rooms; broken, rotting buildings. Slimy green pool and stagnant indoor pond. Do not believe the photos on the booking websites. This place should be shut down. Useless staff too. Moved to a much nicer hotel down the road, never to return.

Won’t stay again
Very old run down place, which has deteriorated since I was there only 4months ago. Pool was mouldy so couldn’t swim in it. It’s a shame as it has great potential if was looked after. Towels had stains, room had nothing, no coffe/tea, toiletries etc.

Barely passable
This hotel is in a good location, near the airport and was probably quite splendid at one time when these pictures were taken a few years back. But it's become severely run down. Our room was filthy, especially the bathroom which had a faint odor of urine. The bracket that held the shower head up was broken and there was no hot water so forget about taking a shower. Even at the $12 rate that we paid I would say it's not worth it The murals in the stairwells are fantastic though.

Nice place very dated though. No room wifi
The sari segara is amazingly only 16 years old, I thought it was at least double this. This hotel was once upon a time a real gem with massive rooms, bathrooms and balconies- some with sea views. However it's not kept up to date and things are very tired. Still it has a charm about the place and I believe that's down to the lovely staff there.
No room wifi so I had to sit in reception and be eaten by mosquitoes to connect to the world which I get was very old fashioned!
The mattress and bedding was awful, very shoddy mattress and the bedding was so old if fell apart when you touched the pillows.
If you want to clock out here is a lovely place at the road outside boasts lovely fresh fish restaurants. I took the local option and went to the fish market, grabbed a hunk of tuna steak and the market warung cooked it for me, so much fresh fish... yummy

Rundown Hotel with terrible facilities
Sari Segara is a rundown hotel and it seems in some financial trouble. First I was allocated a room on 4th Floor and the lift wasn't working. I asked for a change. Then I found my room intercom wasn't working. When I complained they said the cables are cut-off and the phone line cannot be fixed. Worst of all, Shower stopped abruptly and never re-started and unfortunately i cannot even call the reception because my phone line is not working.
Hotel is in Bad state. Would not recommend to stay in this hotel

Sad Hotel
I decided to stay in this hotel due to the close location to the airport as we were waiting for our night flight. The plan was to stay at the hotel, check out the Jimbaran area then head to the airport. However, I regretted this decision. The hotel and surrounding area was so bad that we left about 6 hours earlier than we needed to, simply to escape this dingy place.
The hotel is extremely rundown. The hotel, and the whole area in the immediate vicinity, felt sad, unloved and oppressive. The hotel is dirty. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere and the pool water looked murky. The hotel is undergoing renovations, but as it stands, the places feels neglected and sad. The lunch at the hotel was simply the worst meal I had in Indonesia.
Please choose another hotel and location.

Don't stay here while renovations are occurring
I am sure this hotel once was fantastic. And following the renovations it will be again. But they are currently (October 2015) completing what they call 'renovations' and what I would call 'demolition'. Half the place has been leveled and the resulting dust is relentless. It is very noisy and the facilities including restaurant and pool area are essentially unusable, or unpleasant at the very least. I would not recommend staying here currently while the demolition work is occurring.

Not a good last minute choice
We booked this hotel at the last minute as we needed accommodation near the airport due to a flight delay. Unfortunately for our last night in Bali this hotel was a poor choice. I feel sad for the place because it would have been lovely in it's prime, however it is now extremely run down and in desperate need of repair. We moved rooms because the first bathroom reeked, and I mean it really, really smelled bad! The second room was full of mosquitoes and there were several problems such as an extremely rusty, leaky bath and the kettle had an Australian plug and didn't fit the wall! But we were too tired to attempt a second move by then so we covered ourselves in insect repellent and made do. It was quiet though considering the close proximity to the Jimbaran seafood strip, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

A good hotel with minor improvement areas
Strategically good location (close to Kuta, Airport and beach)
Cleaning service was not their best area. Kept forgetting things. I had to ask for eg towels, shampo, coffee. As if they did not have a checklist.
Water was dripping from the toilet ceiling and it took 3days and a number of complaints before they fixed it.

Great Place to Relax
We spend the last four days of our Bali trip at Sari Segara Resort, mainly to relax, to get to know the peninsula better and to do some last minute shopping. We paid a ridiculous low room rate, including breakfast, partly because the end of April was still low season and because some renovations were ongoing at the resort. We were not at all bothered by these renovations. At check in we were upgraded to a newly renovated room and one with balcony and sea view, from where we watched the most beautiful sunsets. The beautiful resort gardens and two pools were very well maintained, quiet and relaxing with free Wi Fi available here and in the restaurant. The restaurant was excellent. The breakfast was the best we had in Bali and more than you could eat. We ate some of our other meals out at first, but later on settled for the restaurant at the resort. All the meals we had here were definitely superior and there were many dishes to choose from, Balinese and international. I had one of the best Tempura dishes ever! All the staff was very friendly and helpful and helped with arranging some day trips. English newspapers were also available in the front lobby.

The Grand Hotel that Once Was...
We closed out our Bali & Lombok trip at this hotel because it was close to the beach, close to the airport and fairly reasonable from a price perspective. I would not stay here again. The hotel was clearly a great hotel at one point. Perhaps the 2002 bombings scared people off an this hotel was never able to quite recover. It has been allowed to slide into serious disrepair - from the lobby, to the pool, the spa, and certainly the rooms.
The hotel is seriously dilapidated. The bed in our room was actually broken and the sheets were badly stained. The hotel sent someone to fix the bed. When they couldn't, they gave us a new room. The new room also had stained sheets and there were ant hills forming where the bathroom floor met the edge of the tub. The ceiling in the bathroom was rotting - not molded, flat out rotting. The rooms are in serious deterioration and the couches in both rooms were honestly beyond filthy - not just stained, but years of dirt ground into the fabric.
The hotel front desk staff was nice enough, but definitely didn't want to help with much - from assisting with a scooter rental to swapping our room - they seemed pretty uninterested in helping.
I would definitely not recommend staying here. Do not be fooled by the pictures!

Lots of atmosphere
late night arrival after long wait for visa and immigration, but the hotel was comfortable and the grounds and pool made it very welcoming. Its old and fairly basic but the feel of the Balinese culture is there.
