Great place to stay on the island - has everything you need! It would be good to have an alternative to the $48 buffet dinner on the weekend - we don't eat that much food!

Holiday trip. The only bad thing is the resort controls arrival time as the only way to get there is by the ferry sponsored by the hotel. Yet, our room was not ready upon arrival.

Paradise island with great snorkeling
Amazing island with dreamy beaches and spectacular wild life. Snorkeling was great and very convenient - we experienced loads of rays, turtles and different fishes. Food was better than expected, except from Christmas Day lunch (disaster to an outrageous high price - but no alternatives available so we had to attend to get lunch). Rooms simple but ok. No AC, fan worked ok. Shower pressure good! Beds not very comfortable. But the main focus was the outdoors so all in all a wonderful experience. Would love to come back & highly recommend people to visit!

Heron Island Resort is a nice place with friendly and helpful staff. While the food options are limited, they are decent and satisfactory. The rooms, however, could benefit from more thorough cleaning to enhance the overall experience.

We liked the island. Most staff was friendly. Appreciated the towel exchange. Booking for certain times at the one restaurant was limiting.
My biggest suggestion is the room quality. Bathroom cabinets wood splitting. Furniture very worn out and wobbly.

Rooms are somewhat dated, but staff and activities offered were first class, and the island itself is truly beautiful - a great place to stay.

Heron Island is an amazing place. So much wildlife just outside the door of your room. From turtles, rays, sharks to multiple different birds. It’s easy to snorkel off the beaches. The resort offers a range of activities. We loved our time there.

Friendly and helpful staff. Pricey meals. Meal quality was very average. We had to have the shower head replaced. Recommend chairs in room to have padded legs to reduce noise from unit above.
