We stayed in a Superior room at the Victoria Spa resort. This is a lovely hotel, great for those who do not have mobility issues. The hotel is located on a hill and access to and from the town is via a steep set of stairs. Ok for us, but not for everyone. The location on the hill gives a great view over the town and lake.
Our room was fabulous, very comfortable, excellent bathroom with shower over bath. The breakfast here was great; lots of freshly cooked food, a large selection of fresh bread and pastries and an egg station / hot cooked Vietnamese style breakfast foods made to order.
We were disappointed with the pool which was a further walk up another steep incline and, due to it being located inside a building, was quite hot and stuffy. This would probably be welcome in the cooler weather, but not so in July.
We took a tour of the local villages through the hotel, which was quite pricey.. The tour itself was enjoyable to the point that we were surrounded by local women pressuring us to buy local handcrafts.. :(
The hotel staff were lovely and always very happy to assist when required.
We are happy to recommend this hotel.
