We went to Agadir for two weeks, but only stayed a week in Igoudar, and moved to another hotel for the second week, read on to find why.
The good:
- Building architecture.
- Friendly cleaners.
- Location (ish).
- That's about it.
The bad (deep breath):
- Smoking EVERYWHERE, reception, hallway, rooms etc.
- The room stank of smoke/nicotine/tar so badly it triggered my asthma. Opening the windows and doors didn't help, it was so strong it refused to disappear.
- Receptionists are useless mostly, we asked for a different room but the request was not fulfilled, except for the young guy (Abdul Ilah) he was friendly and helpful, but never had powers to do anything with regards to room re-arrangements.
- Toilet was leaking, asked for repair, they stuck a basin under the leak instead!
- Rooms have no privacy what-so-ever, there are no curtains (yes, you read that right), you either leave windows open, or use a sliding-door-like window to cover glass, which leaves no room for light to get through!
- Ants, but that's excepted in Morocco I believe.
- No Wifi in rooms, Wifi in reception is acceptable, but very unreliable, as you get the whole hotel guests sitting there using it!
Overall, it was a bad experience, I even considered cutting the trip short but that was too expensive. Luckily, Studio Afoud saved the day, it was way better in every regard, only if we gone there from day one!
Regards.
