About Americania Hotel

San Francisco hotel with rooftop pool, in SoMa District

Union Square: 15 minutes

Featuring mid-century modern design, Americania Hotel is in San Francisco's SoMa District, a 15-minute walk from Union Square shopping and people-watching. It's a 3-minute walk to hop a vintage streetcar on Market Street to the Embarcadero's waterfront attractions.

Asian art and culture

The Asian Art Museum, an 8-minute walk, is one of the largest museums of its kind in the Western world, and the museum store is worth a visit. At Yerba Buena Gardens, a half-mile away, you can take a spin on the historic carousel and share a picnic on the landscaped lawn.

Pool and burgers

After a workout in the fitness center, you might be ready for lunch at the on-site restaurant, K and Oz. For more fun and relaxation, there's a heated rooftop pool and the Custom Lounge.

Free WiFi and board games

Splashes of primary colors accent retro black-and-white decor in the 143 guestrooms, which offer free WiFi and iPod® docking stations for your tunes. Board games might provide old-school entertainment in your room, and flat-screen TVs feature premium channels.

New Years Eve Stay
Given that it was New Years Eve I felt as if the staff handled their "no partying" rule very well. Didn't seem too forward or judgmental. Hotel was walking distance to Bill Graham Auditorium. A decent amount of restaurants in the area. Some buildings in the area are being renovated but did not affect our stay at all.

Do not stay here !!
From the jump it was bad. When we got there our room wasn’t given to us for the price that we were quoted. They messed up our reservation for 2 conjoined rooms, the room was small and had small bugs flying all over. On top of them messing up our reservation they charged us extra for parking and at the end of it I spent more money on a one night stay for a crappy hotel. If I wanted to spend over $200 for one night I would have stayed somewhere a lot fancier. Will never go back.
