Position of the hotel is very good, parking on site was good, the staff were very young with not much local knowledge, information leaflets were in Dutch only, you didn’t have to sign for anything you brought eg. drinks and food so when it came to checkout it was hard to remember what you had purchased or not.

I have made a reservation for someone else with the option to pay at the accommodation. The hotel charged my credit card without asking and when the guest wanted to pay with another credit card it was not possible. The front desk was very unprofessional

The hotel us OK, but the electrics are terrible. They have a version of the system that requires a card in the slot to get the power in the room.... BUT I had to call down because I couldn't get it to work... the lady on the front desk said... 'it's probably broken, try forcing the card in... that usually works!' I did... and it worked... BUT... at 2.00am there was a loud bang! AND ALL POWER WENT! I had to use the bathroom in the morning without any lights... I told the receptionist at check out... there was no apology.

Bastion is a nice hotel right in the city center with easy access to the pedestrian areas, the market and the river. Plenty to do and see close by. Very friendly staff all around. Great spacious room.
