Luang Prabang nightlife is pretty non-existent – the majority of locals go to bed by 10pm and rise at 5am. There are a handful of restaurants and small bars that stay open past midnight, while some hotels have onsite bars where you can enjoy a cold beer and conversation with fellow travelers.
Strolling around this sleepy town at night is relatively safe, but Laos enforces a curfew so try to make your way back to your hotel or guesthouse before midnight. The Luang Prabang Night Market near Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham takes place every evening until 11pm and has stalls selling souvenirs, street food, and clothes at affordable prices.
