I received very good service from the staff who were calling me and checking on my arrival time for a nice greeting. The bed was very very comfortable and the pillows were quite nice. The decor was not for me, but beauty is a personal choice.

Great host!

Great experience. Great communication. Very unique destination. Just stayed for one night and had to leave early so couldn’t enjoy the breakfast. One note is that the property is close to the main highway. I liked the white noise but really light sleepers may have an issue.

6/10 Good

Though situated near a major road, this property is very near the Concho River walk so it made it easy to find a quiet evening stroll. The room offered plenty of space but much of it is filled with too much kitsch clutter. And the breakfast could use some improvement.

Not as represented

Taken aback by the somewhat dilapidated condition of the “mansion”. In bad need of paint, stair repair, yard work. Location on access road to freeway also not at all relaxing. Just thought the condition did not warrant the price of a stay. The pictures on Hotels.com and other sites are well staged and not at all reminiscent of property. Staff and Hostess on the other hand were great.

Great place to stay.

We loved our stay at the Music Garden with all of their collections. We also liked reading about the owners and their family since I'm from San Angelo as well. The hot tub was very clean and so relaxing. Their were lots of beautiful antiques. The only negative was finding a place for our things which we managed. They were able to accomodate my gluten and dairy free needs for breakfast. Would love to come again.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable.. The breakfast basket was very nice. We had to leave early so our stay was short. The management was friendly as well.

iT FEELS LIKE YOU YOU ARE STAYING IN YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE OUT IN THE COUNTRY. MY ONE DRAWBACK IS THAT THERE IS SOOOO MUCH "STUFF" THAT THERE IS NO PLACE TO PUT YOUR LUGGAGE OR TO USE THE DRESSING TABLE DUE TO THE VASES AND BOWLS. sOME FURNITURE/ SHOULD BE MOVED OUT IN ORDER TO ACCOMMODATE THE GUESTS. a LITTLE LESS PILLOWS:) Lovely home.

All the decorations and knickknacks about left me with a homey feel. Melody and her staff were very accommodating. Unfortunately, there’s no breakfast due to COVID, and wasn’t informed of that. But it certainly has that B&B feel.

wonderful gourmet breakfast, amazing coffee, very enjoyable host, intresting history a little too cluttered and dusty for my taste though

The owner has gone to a great deal of trouble to make the property attractive, Victorian, with modern amenities.

8/10 Very good

Overall the staff were wonderful, very prompt and friendly. The house is chock full of stuff! So much stuff that it is hard to find a place to sit or a work surface with out rearranging the decorations. Kind of overwhelming unless you love crafts. Knicknacks galore! The plumbing may need some attention as there was an intermittent foul odor in the lavender room. With the delicious breakfast, i think overall we had a nice stay.

We loved it!!!

We loved staying here! We were visiting San Angelo for a getaway. Melody was nice and inviting. And the main house was amazing. It reminded me of my great grandmas house! The room we stayed in was nice and cozy! Awesome food and coffee the next morning!!!

relaxing getaway

This bed and breakfast was very cute. Very well decorated!! Our attendant (Sophie) was inviting and sweet. The breakfast needed just a little extra help, but we were the only ones to have to cook for, so that was understandable!! I look forward to going back and staying in one of the other rooms!!! Got to see almost all of them, and I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!! GREAT JOB LADIES!!!!! Jaime & Barbara

Resale shop overload

Too much stuff! No place to put my things, and couldn't sit on the sofa for the pillow overload. Things everywhere, even on the floor and stairs. Had to go outside to get to the hot tub, and the porch was too noisy to enjoy as it was right on the freeway access road. Price was much too high for the quality , except for the breakfast

OMG for MGM!!! What a fun find!

Was staying in San Angelo for business. My usual hotel was booked. So I had to search out a new place. My husband suggested I try out a B&B. So very happy I found this place! My new usual place will now be the MGM. Don't miss the breakfast! Three kinds of fresh berries served with Romanov cream was my first course. The fresh asparagus (grown on premise) was in season and was roasted and atop my huge piece of smoked ham quiche accompanied by fresh chard and rosemary (also from the garden). Because of my gotta go to work ethic, I almost turned down breakfast.....would have been a big mistake! You will be amazed at the collections in the house. Perfectly clean and well appointed. Comfortable! Melody, the hostess, is a charm! My suggestion would be to try out this locally owned, small business and receive personalized care and feeding from a home-grown family. Try it out! I don't think you will be disappointed!

Wonderful bed and breakfast!!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was cute, clean, and comfortable. Melanie was very hospitable and met our every need! The breakfast was wonderful! We have already booked a return weekend!

2/10 Poor

This place is horrible, horrible, horrible: Stay elsewhere!

We stayed here this past week. Two couples, one upstairs, one down. The place is a hoarder's dream. So much awful decor, you want to puke! Even the stairs have little bird houses so that it's a danger to go up and down. There are baskets and all kinds of other trinkets and trashy decorative items on every surface. Too many decorative pillows on the bed to count; no place to sit; no place to set up a computer. PLUS, worst of all, the mansion is a two-story house that sits virtually ON THE FREEWAY. Traffic noise well into the wee hours, including 18 wheelers. A quiet spell between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m., then the noise starts up again. No shower in the upstairs suite, too much decorating, particularly baskets. This place is a dump. Save your money. Got to Motel 6, it's nicer and quieter.
