Older hotel but great location, breakfast great
This was a location in Kehl that we used to explore Strausboug. Super convenient location for the tram. Hotel was busy and while basic - did meet our needs. Rooms were very simplistic and worn- they had seen wear. But they were clean. Breakfast was included and the options were way above average. Very nice. The neighborhood was less desirable- next to lots of tabbaco shops and just did not feel great walking around. But we choose it because of easy access to train and that area felt safe.

Kehl - Belgium/France 2024
Our stay was excellent. It started at the reception, with friendly, helpful and informative personnel. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with Refrigerator to keep our drinks cool. The only thing that did not function was the remote for the television, so changing channels had to be done by hand. The hotel did attempt to fix the problem, yet it still didn't function right. We received great information about the Tram to Strasbourg, the stop is just across the street, as well as must see sights in Strasbourg. In addition, the hotel is just a short 200 meters from the Kehl city shopping and pedestrian zone filled with stores, shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops. We are planning to visit Kehl and Strasbourg again next year and will be booking the ates Hotel Straßburg in Kehl for at least 3-4 nights. We did not partake of the breakfast buffet, since we wanted to experience the local flair.

The good : The hotel is very close to local public transport both trains and buses. Also close to several restaurants and Coffee shops. The breakfast was good with a variety of options to get you ready to start the day. Size of the room was adequate and the bed comfortable with clean sheets. The bad : Mainly two things , 1. The parking area is only available for a very few cars but they advised us to use the train station free parking across the street. 2. We reported a foul odor coming from the bathroom but they couldn't accommodate a room change and addressed the issue with only a fragance spray. We were not happy with this .

Perfect stay...perfect.
This hotel was perfect for what I was looking for. I did a hike in the Black Forest on Saturday and wanted to spend the night in the Strasbourg area to visit the city Sunday. Check in Saturday was flawless. The key was prepared, and before i knew it, i was in a hot shower. Water pressure was awesome amd the drain worked (how many places have i stayed at where this wasn't the case!) Room was spotless, simple, new, and even had a balcony. Street noise was moderate, but not awful considering the size of the street the hotel is on. I sleep with earplugs anyway...it was silent. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast Sunday had the basics, plus some. The tram and train stations are right across the street. I took the tram and was in the center of town in 20 minutes for €1.70. Cant beat this hotel for the price.

Not worth the cost!
Thankfully arrived mid afternoon so got the only one remaining car parking space left. No mention of limited parking and was only about 6 spaces in total. Check in was fine, helpful staff or so i thought until we got into town and found she had given wrong info on how to get to xmas market! A very basic piece of knowledge yet failed! Bedroom was ok,basic but comfortable. Bathroom small. Was amazed to find no tea and coffee making facilities in room,not even a kettle! Never experienced that in ANY hotel room. Breakfast was ok but no porridge available and not able to heat up the cold oatmeal that was available?! Great location for trams into centre as right outside door. Wouldnt return though, definatly not worth the price!

Highly recommended!
I loved this hotel! The air-conditioned room (and lobby) was very clean, comfortable, spacious, restful and refreshing. Breakfast buffet was great also. Convenient location right across from train station and just a 10-minute tram ride away from Strasbourg and 2 hours by train to Heidelberg (used the cheaper regional day pass). Good restaurant choices and supermarket nearby. A quiet escape in Europe away from the crowd yet close to interesting sites. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
